OMG, I was almost attacked by a flock of seagulls while waxing my ski’s

Not by the 80’s band, but an actual flock of seagull birds.

So I was out on my balcony enjoying the cool San Diego evening, minding my own biz, and waxing up the blue noodles for this weekend when I look up and see a couple of seagulls flying around. No biggie, I continue on waxing when about a minute later I hear a couple of them chirping loud and nonstop, so I look up in the air and notice a group of a dozen to 20 seagulls flying laps around in the airspace above my balcony and I am starting to think ok this is a little odd. Another half a minute goes by and then there is a group of 3 that start to buzz me pretty damn close on their laps like they were Maverick in Top Gun or something. They were pointing right me straight lining right at me on their dives and buzzing me overhead by about 4-5 feet. At this point I am wondering WTF should I laugh my a$$ off or should I be afraid . I decide to continue on and get the job done and I could use the skis for defensive swatting. The flyby dive bomb buzzing continued for the next 5 minutes until I finshed up and went back in. It was too funny!

This was for sure the funniest ski related event of my year.

It would've been funnier if it was the band.

And I ran, I ran so far away...

Would have made a great video, Gebster running away, swatting at the air, to that lead guitar...

Don't get me wrong, it was funny. It just would've been even funnier if it was the band fucking with you.

    And shit.

edit: See? Splat gets it. I'm not the only one who thinks wrong.

I gotta post the pic of Sinecure waxing his snowboard in shorts, with my wisteria-covered porch in the background.

I got in a fight with Joey Ramone once. Also the guy from Steppenwolf, whatever his name was.

I had a part in Rock N' Roll High School, but they got behind in production and it was dumping in Tahoe, so I blew it off to go skiing.

    Sometimes I regret that.

In the interest of full disclosure, it wasn't a real fight with Joey, he just freaked out and started slapping people backstage at this club where I worked. But I did hit him back, so I guess it counts as a fight.

I mean, even if you think the rest of the movie is stupid, you still gotta love the mouse. Right?

Why that movie didn't get the props that Bill and Ted and Fast Times did, I'll never know.

It kinda broke a little piece of my heart to see those guys go so early.

It probably never got mad props cause it was a Roger Corman production (with New World Pictures). Corman was the king of B movies, so anything he did was basically panned before they started shooting.

    I saw your eyes,
    And you made me smile;
    For a little while
    I was falling in love.
I'm just a simple girl trying to make my way in the universe...
I come up hard, baby but now I'm cool I didn't make it, sugar playin' by the rules
If you know your history, then you would know where you coming from, then you wouldn't have to ask me, who the heck do I think I am.

Watch him try to dance. He's completely out of rhythm with the music!
