OMG, I was almost attacked by a flock of seagulls while waxing my ski’s
Not by the 80’s band, but an actual flock of seagull birds.![]()

So I was out on my balcony enjoying the cool San Diego evening, minding my own biz, and waxing up the blue noodles for this weekend when I look up and see a couple of seagulls flying around. No biggie, I continue on waxing when about a minute later I hear a couple of them chirping loud and nonstop, so I look up in the air and notice a group of a dozen to 20 seagulls flying laps around in the airspace above my balcony and I am starting to think ok this is a little odd. Another half a minute goes by and then there is a group of 3 that start to buzz me pretty damn close on their laps like they were Maverick in Top Gun or something. They were pointing right me straight lining right at me on their dives and buzzing me overhead by about 4-5 feet. At this point I am wondering WTF should I laugh my a$$ off or should I be afraid. I decide to continue on and get the job done and I could use the skis for defensive swatting. The flyby dive bomb buzzing continued for the next 5 minutes until I finshed up and went back in. It was too funny!
This was for sure the funniest ski related event of my year.
