Can't sync to my palm, WTF?

I guess I'm more or less a computer JONG but maybe you guys/gals can help me out.
I don't have an ipod but I just got a palm for work, etc and I figure with a 2G chip for it it'll be as good as the small nano.
Anyway, most of my music is off limewire and it syncs OK but I've started getting a lot off the various bittorrent sites lately and it won't go into the palm. I'm running WMP10 with pocket music integrated. WMP tells me that it can't convert any of the torrent music to a format that my device will recognise.
    Any suggestions?

I'm syncing through WMP so they're all MP3 files. I downloaded the "integrate with WMP" packet and installed and it works for my other MP3 files.

I'd tell you to use Aeroplayer

But it sounds like you have one of those funky new Palms with Windows.

Anyone know where I can score a good calculator, maybe a Power One financial or like, for my palm; for free of course. . .
