    dumping in europe

i am in lech austria and it has not stopped snowing since i arrived on the 8th. Sun made an appearance yesterday and it made for some insane pow. Avi danger is ridicules and the road from lech out of the valley is closed. We have gotten a couple of meters in the last week on top of a rain layer so avi danger is huge.
lots of pow and not able to ski the goods.
any one feel sorry for me?

    Thumbs up

Nice M! Heard lots about the avie dangers over there the past week. Sounds sick! Is anything open to ski?

Here its far different... Fletch & Dav bombed down Garret's gut, and were filmed from the ski co chopper on Sunday. Me, Fletch and Goss skied Gnarly Bowl out H. Ridge yesterday... SICK!

But all in all I think i'd give up in bounds hardpack and bc stability for Austria's dumps right now. Live it up!

Yo M, sounds like the goods will be forthcoming. Aren't you over there for a while? Be careful out there! Thanks for the help with Deb's boots. Surefoot traded them out for the X-Wave 9's and everything is groovy. We'll miss you at the Powder Awards.

Knockneed-which one is Gnarly Bowl??? Is that Tognar? Good to see you guys are getting after it. Skied the K on Sat. Let's make some turns soon.

i woudl have put her in that boot if we had had it.
anyway, the skiing here is huge but super hard visibility no trees. I have been trying to charge but sometimes the hill just drops away. yesterday was a dream day. I hiked up to this saddle that dropped me into a valley the siz of the wall. Maybe 1000 feet untracked. I came back on piste and this instructor was yelling at me in german.
No sprekenzi dutsche i said to him.- He tells me in english, look at what you did to that hill, so few turns what are you thinking the asthetics are terrible. I looked at him and laughed. Everyone here but a select few spoon these old school turns. THey are hidous. This guy was a fool.
as i turned away him and his class were still yelling at what i did to the moutain. totally clueless.
went on to ski intracked all day, just me and my ipod.

Gnarly is about a mile past the K on the same side. The ski was great but the in/out lived up to its name...

Classic! I see you are doing your best to foster relations w/ our Euro brethren. It's not just the Euros though. Some of the backside boys are still farming turns up there. Please continue and keep up the good work.....

Wow - it's the Aspen board these days.

Harry Dunne - that's fucking hilarious. It was great skiing with the both of yous over the holidays.

M - you're a fucker for being over there. By the way, John Falkiner is in Lech filming. I will PM you his email if you'd like to hook up with him for some turns.

Garret's Gut - that is a sweet line - still on the to-do list. Hard to tick those off sitting in Missouri.

Hope to see you guys on the board more often. MR - be safe out there brother. PD - have fun at the X-games and go represent at the Powder awards - say hi to KD for me.

    Laters.
