How bad have you "robbed the cradle"

Well last year winter despite my best efforts I had a 17 year old girlfriend...at 21. I literally asked permission from this girl’s mom if I could date her. I have a feeling there could be several people on here that have "robbed the cradle" much worse than me. Go head and post it up.

My little story is that the morning before doing some adaptive instruction, I looked over and saw this awesome smile. Being early in the morning I wasn’t awake enough to be nervous, so i start talking to her. We agree to ski that night after we done helping out the disabled skiers. We really hit it off that night, I remember smiling so much it hurt.. I wanted to know where she lived at, went to school at etc. So I asked here. When she said *ar* Area High School, my heart sunk I couldn’t believe I just fell for a girl so young (really honestly thought she was in college). She couldn’t believe I was 21. That should of been the end of it.

I wasn’t going to ask for her number no matter how bad I wanted it, but the next day right before we went home she gave me her number without me asking. With in a couple days I caved and called her. There is still something special about those months to me.

so what’s your story? You know mine already.....

2nd part of the post cause my computer is shitty^

I met my wife when she was 18; I was 26. She is a german national, who was in the USA as an aupair, working for the head of the USGA. I was fresh out of law school. It was Columbus Day weekend. We were all out to dinner, and I was boasting about a recent trip to the Caymans, and my underwater adventures. She expressed interest. I invited her to dinner at a French restaurant in NYC (Le Grenioille). It was the day that that Bill Buckner let the ball go thru his legs. After dinner, I took her to the roof of the Plaza Hotel to show her the sights. The next week, I baked her a cheese cake. She was mine. Blah blah blah. After a year, she returned to Germany to attend the Univ of Bamberg. I found a job in Bamberg, working for an American Civilian law firm. We were married six months later. That was 1988.

My oldest brother recently turned 48. He just married a Costa Rican chick who is 22. She doesn't speak much english; he speaks no Spanish. I guess they converse with body language. I wonder how long that will last.

Not cradle robbing, but I am definitely a cougar - never been with anybody my own age or anywhere near it.

Consider this a request for periodic follow up reports.

If you are a skier, you have seen cougars. The definitions at urbandictionary skew toward the negative conotation, but the good version has gained a lot of popularity in the last five years or so. There are tons of sites like this one dedicated to "cougar hunting". I am quite sure there have been threads about cougars on here if you do a search.

18 yr old twins when I was 24, we called them barracudas instead of cougars. Started with giving one sister a ride home and meeting the other and the guy on your shoulder talks to the other guy....ideas hatch and rationalize that its not cradle robbing...their ages equal 36, right? So it lasted a few months, seemed like a good idea at the time, 1975.

Dated a 19 yr. old when I was 29. I think I was closer in age to her Mom (who was hot). It was too weird and didn't last long. What initially felt like youthful exuberance quickly became annoying immaturity.

Kind of the opposite, but I'll still spew, hey I'm proud of it after all.

When I was in high school I "knew" a 24 year old romanian girl, er, woman.

That lasted about two weeks. She rocked my world.

bushwacker, from the thread title, i thought this was gonna be really sordid

it may seem like a big gap from where you're at now (i likewise remember feeling cradle-robbie when i dated a HS freshman when i was a senior), but trust me, as one gets older the acceptable age gap inevitably widens.

without going into too much detail, a couple of years back i went on a date with a very attractive woman from work who'd pursued and asked me out...i knew she was younger than me, but would find out that i had her mother beat by a couple of months.

we only went on that one date (i'd gotten the seal of approval to go on the date from a longtime female friend/former girlfriend my age...as well as my male contemporaries - surprise!), but that, my friend, would have to qualify as cradle robbing

that said, i've also dated women who were several years older than me, so it's not like i'm a degenerate

Gonna be 30 next year and spent quite a few nights 2 years ago in a freshman college dorm with a girl I met in Montreal (me up for skiing/her on spring break). We dated for 6 months or so - long enough for me to hook up 3 of my friends as well (they are indebted to me for life). She never asked my age (probably didn't want to know) and I do look younger than I am (I still get carded, even at 29). Bottom line, we were at WAY different points in our lives. No harm, no foul. We left it on good terms. Wait a minute...she turned 21 last week. Maybe I should give her a call...

at first reading, i thought you'd meant "instructed by"

read the cougar definitions in the urban dictionary...LOL, but yes sounds like some bitter+misogynistic young men wrote the defs.

My 'first' was interesting...I was 14, and she was 23. I was going to school in Stowe, and she was a ski bum. It lasted a week, at most. But god, was it fun. I think she fancied herself a teacher for the betterment of womankind. If I got too eager or whatever, she would kindly reprimand me, and tought me how to do things 'right' (for her).
    I am deeply, deeply indebted.
When I was 19, I went out with a 15 year old girl without knowing her age. I even met her parents, and all of that! She was a little wildcat. Me-ow.

I think it is premature to address this thread. Please check back with me in a day or two.

Yeah probably one of the few ski instructors on this site.....

but at the time I meet the said girl, I thought yeah it was really big gap. My next door neighbor here in the burgh is fing hot now and it hard for me to think of her as anythign but little girl. Even though see is 19 now.

It looks like what my situation was wasnt even close to what the board can produce.

The biggest age gap I've had is 5 years in both directions.

Younger girls are fun until they figure out they don't know who they are/don't know what they want/aren't sure of anything. At that point I prefer the older, more experienced ones.

When I was thirty, I dated an 18 year old girl and a 42 year old woman in the same year (not at the same time).
