    a month in Bolivia....

THIS IS A LONG POST that will take a while to load, but it's worth it... some of the pics seem to be loading retardedly llarge, but I don't know how to fix it....

I spent the last month riding in and around Sorata, Bolivia with Travis Gray, who owns www.andeanbiking.com, guides down there, and is a good friend, Patrick Hooper, and Elliot Hoover, two front range rippers. I will post a seperate thread about my ski mountaineering adventure/debale later on. Together with the boys at www.stellaermag.com (who brought you the powder road) we will be editing and producing a interactive, multi-media webumentary over the next month, so I'll keep the commentary brief (or how about non-existent). The boards looked in need of some serious summer STOKE, so here is my contribution... dig some of the best riding I have ever seen: 6,000 - 10,000ft scree and singletrack descents... truly epic...

are you guys riding around Cuzco? we are already talking about hitting that up next year. several visits to peru have left me with the impression that it is very similar to Bolivia, just more developed.

I'm not entirely sure how many times I would have crapped my pants on any one of those descents, but I'm going to say it would be around 10 - 15 times.

The current Bike mag has an article about riding in Peru in it, but your photos are so much better. I want to get out of the country so bad right now... Thanks for sharing

cheers. there was an article in Decline about riding in Bolivia that was written when NWD6 was filmed down there, but the pics sucked and half of the article was about the dude having the shits. we took about 1200 still pics figuring that even though we are photo jongs, some of them would come out well...and it seems they did.

the vid will be sick. we have about 25 hours of killer footy, tripod, hand held, and helmet cam. combine that with some of the 1200 stills taken and the boys at stellarmag will have more than they can use. should be sick. we are headed in to start doing some voice over and writing some text with those kids early next week and the webumentary should be up and hosted in about 4-5 weeks.

You gotta resize some of those pics though. My computer just had a mild seizure.
