Shipping and Tracking thru USPS?? Getting shafted on mtbr.com sales?

    I need some advice:

Last tuesday I ordered a Thomson stem for my 575 from a guy on mtbr.com.

It took about 5-8 emails back and forth to work out the details, and he told me he'd ship it on Tues or Weds, and it would be shipped USPS Priority (2-4 days). He was always really nice and the transaction seemed to be going smoothly.

When I emailed him on Thursday to see if it was sent, he got super pissed off and rude. And told me that it was sent on Weds, and that paypal should have sent me the tracking number.

When I check the USPS tracking site, it still says the the "electronic shipping info has been recieved" (from paypal) but they havn't recieved the item for shipping.

When I try to ask the seller about it's whereabouts, he gets ultra angry and insulting, and quotes obscure paypal policey bullshit ("you know, paypal says I have 30 days to ship, so I could just do nothing for a month and then ship it out", that sorta shit).

Anyway, do you think that the USPS tracking is completely whacked, or am I getting fucked by some asshole on mtbr.com?

And, if I am getting fucked, what are my options? I paid $45 thru paypal on Tuesday 6-13.

    Thanks!

I'd give it a few days and not bother Mr. Agro...

If nothing then, maybe throw a email paypals way and see.

The first scan of course would be when it leaves the Post Office the day it is dropped off. After that it will report only inthe system and tentative delivery target. I would wait it out a few days or maybe a week before the next move. If it has been a reasonable time, and the item still does not show a scan in the USPS system, then one more time a polite message that you are just trying to get an idea of the delivery time frame. If he ignores or does nothing then I would notify mtbr.com, ask the USPS what the procedure is for a complaint with the Postal Inspectors (and the time frame) and also notify Paypal of the issue and delay in the shipping. Paypal can go to bat for you and ask, if he does not respond to them, then they can attempt to retreive the funds from him on your behalf.
