I Seem to Keep Following Joey Joe Joe Jr...

    Howdy All,

Joey Joe Joe and I seem to be in a wierd Vulcan mindmeld-style thought
pattern: A cast of a few and I spent the weekend in the Indy Pass area,
where we skied the north side of East Geissler, etc, on Saturday, and
    Grizzly Peak on Sunday.

My probably-too-long photo TR can be found
    here.

    cheers,
    john

we missed you and the Stipe/Skipper at klaus' Almost Summer get-together, though looks like you guys had a great excuse for not being there. We were regaled with plenty of funny Denali stories involving you two, though.

I think I may be following you on Grizzly, and Independence Mtn, no? You know what they say about great minds... Besides following your day old perfect figure-eights helps me practice my form.

I think you're right, at least about the timing if not the great minds.

Here's a few more from jrredho's and my trip:
ObHiking shot, coming around the corner towards Grizzly Lake. It was early, the loads weren't light, but the weather was nice:

Cut to the top. JR and Paul thinking about the first few turns:

    Paul ripping above:

    Paul ripping below:

jrredho skiing very composed and relaxed...:

...even though it was a long steady pitch:

Looking back at the run, from around the center down towards looker's right:

Everyone seemed to notice this pretty chute above Grizzly Lake - looks like a great run, but if you blew a turn, you'd likely be swimming:

The best tasting beers are ones like these:

Good times. See you out there one of these times, JJJJS!

Hehe, one of the snowfields at Rocky Mountain National Park ends in a lake like that and I thought I was going swimming one time when I tried to hike up on a cloudy day with no crampons. That was rough.

What's wrong with your heels in those pics? Other than that, looks like a great outing.

They're in their natural state - free and flapping in the breeze. Free your heels, lose your friends, I always say.

Other than that, looks like a great outing.
Thanks, I've really enjoyed your TRs this year.
