Saturday: Girl's day out with visiting cousin.
We decided to go poking around the hills a bit to try and escape the heat. Sure enough it started raining. Careful not to break a nail now!
Any summit plans were quickly aborted as the snow was a rotten mess. So we just wandered around for a bit.

We eventually ended up cruising down what is liftserved terrain when the lifts are running. It cleared up enough to get rather sunburned.
Here I am concentrating very hard on trying to predict where the sticky spots are and thereby avoiding a faeplant onto my skitips.
Last turns
Some minor difficulties
Our tracks are somewhere in there
We then had a late afternoon break at the gondola station where a gentleman in a striking sleeveless one piece garment the colour of vomit asked us if we had done a “tour”. We confirmed this and he stated that “this surely is a great thing if one has the skill” He noticed that we had shovels and being aware, as we all must be, of the dangers of backcountry skiing and the great untamed power of the alpine wilderness around us, commented: “Ah, if you have to spend the night outside you can build an igloo!”.
