Thumbs up Utards; Come say hello at Alta on Wednesday...

I'll be up on the mountain most of the day with a camera crew, skiing with and working on a story about Jamie Pierre...

If you see us up there, just ski on over and say hello, it's going to be a pretty low-key thing, you won't be interrupting...hope to see some of the usual gang around...

And hey, if we're lucky, there may be an untracked inch or two from this wimpy joke of a storm moving in Monday...

I will try to get up there for sure. Can your camara guy ski? If not, I will carry it for you. I'd even put a helmet-cam on and follow him if you want (just as long as he doesn't hold me up on the traverse or anything). Conditions really aren't very good for going hugh right now, I hope everyone keeps that in mind.

    A few answers...

Cool, I'm glad a few of you will be up there!

As for time and place on Wednesday, nothing's been set yet, I'll know more by tomorrow night...

We're also not planning on taping Jamie doing any significant jumps based on the current conditions; Mr AG's advice is right about that for sure...we're just going to cruise around and see what comes up. He thinks he can find a place that will "look" big, but not be dangerous...

My photographer is a good skier, he'll be OK; it's hauling the 30 pound tripod around that sucks the most!

The story won't air until February, I'll post an exact date when we get closer, shooting it now gives me time to work on it, which is nice....

Oh, and Lumpy; just as soon as I get the OK for my next project..."Girls Gone Wild; Brigham City style", I'll give you a call............

    Ok, my photographer and I are meeting Jamie at the Wildcat base at 11am;

We've got some fun toys, including a helmet camera for the day!

Hope to see some friends around!

I want to see helmet-cam footage of the Pain Train running the High-T at full speed.

Red Baron: OK. Any good skiers want to do it?

Coverage wise - the T is in great shape considering no measurable snow in 2 weeks

Ride wise - well lets just say that yesterday just about made me seasick. As I came over the first two big rollers right after the trees at the beginning, I looked way, way ahead like I always do to spot the line where I can mock it and all I saw was what looked like a sea - and I mean literally a sea of moguls and whoop te doos. A speed run could be done, but you would need more than a couple of tooth picks to clean your balls outta your teeth.

... oh ya, if you want to "strengthen" Fox's rep as the most liberal, non-mo station in town just clip in some of his footy from High Life - especially clips where he says something

Phunk - you hit the nail on the head! No offense taken here at all. I know my limits, and there's no way in hell I'm taking the **express** pain train on the HT the way it looks now...

It's kicked my ass on a "good" day...

I'll be out this weekend...Canyons two days, one day at Alta. Hopefully helmet cam will be fully functional. Dunno when/where, depends on conditions.

The high traverse kicks ass...well, it kicked my ass a few times last year. I love making those split second decisions - "I'll jump over this one...oh crap it's too big...owwwww." Followed by sitting there, realizing I'm now stopped in the middle of the traverse.

    Three days and counting...

Will keep in mind...if you see somebody in a maroon Boeri writhing in pain, it'll be me. I'll make sure to capture any crashes on helmet cam...that's one of the best parts of hc footage anyway (wipeouts).

I actually think Tremonton would be better, they had the highest teen pregnancy rate in the nation at some point. Or at least that's what us Cache Valley boys used to believe.

Aaarrgh. Can't belive I missed this. I was at Alta on Sunday and Monday, asked 4 or 5 people "Change for a nickel" but just got funny looks and one guy try and give me a bunch of pennies.

Anyways, I'm in the University area of town, trying to save some money crashing w/ a friend. I'll be at Alta the next time it snows, so gimme a holla via PM and I'll try and meet up w/some of y'all.

Highlights of my trip so far were volunteering to give up my seat on Southwest - free night in Vegas baby! and skiing East Castle twice on Monday, best snow I found on the mountain.

    Have fun out there!
