    Last Turns

What is up!?! I am gone for a couple of months and look what the place has turned into! Max is bangin' his sister, BB has a new corn cob, Iggy is the Professor of Gay, Roo is now a porn star on MySpace, and Jumper... who ever knows what the hell he is up to!!!

AAAAANYWAYS.... I managed to take some truly mediocre shots on my last days of skiing over Memorial weekend; but hey, bad stoke is better than no stoke.

I have to say I have never experienced skiing of that nature(so late in the year); it snowed 2 of the 3 days we were there! Did I mention it was Memorial weekend?

Sisters: it was so pretty I had to shoot it twice.

Sorry for the large shot, but the small one does not do it justice

This was day 1; 4 inches of freshies

Day 2 was really strange. It was sunny as hell at the bottom, can you say goggle lines? Yet at the top it was socked in, and snowing.

Day 3 turned out to be the surprise of the weekend. There was anywhere from 4 to 6 inches of fresh. Yes, I was making powder turns on my last day of the season, and its was almost June for cripes sakes!

The little speck of a skier is me. It is my wife's idea of stoke. Sadly enough this is the only shot of me all of this wonderful season...Stop laughing Willie!

I know its not much, but I wanted to share a little stoke since next winter is still a long ways away. I hope this summer is treating everyone well.

    Peace

    Edited for photo

    Nice!

Iggy and I made an attempt to ski at Hood today (6-14). Skunked by rain, wind, and fog!!! But the snowfield looks perrty good, I'll be going back once it clears up.

When we went over Gov't Camp we could see the snow field, and there was still a lot of snow up there. The cool Spring has really kept the snow from melting off.

Iggy info'd me you guys may go again... sounds interesting.

Yeah, I'll definitely be going again! I have to get my June turns.

There is also a little Summit or Mini over the 4th of Jul at Hood, that's always fun too.

Actually, I stole it from this gallery in Bend. Shhhhh, don't tell anyone.

I am glad you like. We were at a spot in Redmond, and I pulled over and snapped it.

Did you like my ONLY photo of the season? Shhweet huh?

I dont know if I am going to be able to afford to ski anymore. My cat found someway to get a huge gash in his side today. Not a bite. Dont know how.

anyway, vet bills are already $150 and I need to bring him into surgery tomorrow which they said is going to be another $600-700. So....say goodbye to all the money I just had for on3p to get started. That is going to need to go on hold for awhile now. dont know if I will be able to really do anything for awhile. $45 to ski is food for a week...

Oh jesus, I'll spot you, quit being so melodramatic. Remember all those Lohrer 1878 beer bottles and crates you got around your place, that I told you you could sell back for money? Yeah there's 10 or 20 free bucks.

Or you could sell those Capitals, since Adam has been so punctual...

I don't think I am being that melodramatic. Fixing this cut is going to cost more than I live off of for a whole month. It isn't like I am rolling around in cash. I am having friends help spot me the money I need. You of all people should know that my money situation is somewhat tight.

Do you not think it hurts when I need to drop $700+ just to get my cat stiched back together? To put that in context...that is like selling my capitals and then still needing more money to pay for it all. I can piss and moan about it all I want.

who, me, be insensitive? naaaawwwww, nevah...

gotcha bro. As a (former) cat owner, I understand. However I lived in a much smaller place than I do even now, and he stayed indoors all the time. Lives with my parents now. But shit could always happen with an animal, like when he stopped eating suddenly a couple months back. 800 bucks in vet fees for a kitty IV.

parental help? I wasn't going to suggest a job, since you already don't exactly have a surplus of spare time...

You insenseitivity is taken with a grain of salt....so it aint that bad.

I have been trying to keep the cat inside as much as possible, but it is hard. he is smart and finds ways, like jumping from the second story to the ground. Also...am not 100% sure this happened outsde. Our basement is kind of fuckd up so it could have happened down there.

All the cash for the vet is for the anesthesia which is $200 alone.

One of the things I decided was that when I got a pet it would be my responsibility, not my parents. They didn't want me to get it for financial issues. Normal cat living is within my budget. Charlie finding stupid ways to hurt himself isnt.

I am trying to find a job, but finding one that fits with my schedule is difficult. My school hours right now are just in a crappy time. It needs to happen soon though.

de-claw and neuter his ass! that will take a lot of wind out of his sails.

the other advantage I had with my cat was that I lived alone. no roommates to let him out, just me!!!

hey, we're douching up a perfectly good thread. let's go to PM/IM.

Iggy, that sucks about your cat. Hope he gets better soon and doesn't drive you to financial ruin.

Ever considered delivering pizzas? In some ways a crappy job, in others not so bad. I average about $14/hr after all expenses, hours are in the evenings, and they're usually very flexible.

Heh. Well, believe it or not there are some other pictures of you that aren't half bad in existence. Now that I have my scanner functioning again and a computer that isn't slower than molasses in January I can post them.

Not the best pics in the world, but at least somewhat recognizeable...

The most common view in the pics I took-

I think there are some others around here. Haven't had much time lately to go through and index my photos and there's a lot that have piled up. I'll let you know if I find any more decent ones.

    Cheers!

HA! That's too funny! Thank you for the photo op (looks like I will need to change my tag line). Those shots were taken the same day we all headed up to the King, yes? Thanks again mang!

Iggy, I am sorry to hear about the cat. Dont stress, life has a way of throwing you those curves, and occasionally you get plunked. This will pass, the cat will get better, and your financial sitiation will always be just that, your financial situation.

Hell, you are in college, you are supposed to be poor! Ramen and Keystone light was my diet back in the day!

    Hang in the there bro.
