    Yo, Anchorage Mags

I'm headed up to Anchorage to see the parents for a long 4th of July weekend - Thinking about bringing my skis or climbing stuff, can't get away for that long cause it's a short visit + my 1 year anniversary is July 3rd, but anyone wanna get out for a morning?

Also, what would be a cool anniversary thingy to do? Wife is outdoorsy, but she has a torn maniscus in the knee right now, so hiking/long walks is bad. I've spent plent of time in Alaska, but I don't think fishing would be considered 'romantic'. I'll have the keys to Mom's car so I can get around!

come on down to the forest fair in girdwood, my band is playing on friday night at 11pm and there's lots of good food and music all day. or maybe one of those kenai fjords tours would be fun, most locals get them for half price and if the weathers nice they can be great. having a busted knee significatly cuts down your opportunities, maybe a little sea kayaking across ketchamak bay in homer to soldovia where you could take a 4 wheel drive tour towards the glacier. there is always rafting on either the placer (mellow) or the sixmile rivers (as gnar as you want). I guess it all comes down to budget.

Oh I also forgot the heli rides with keith out uf g-wood up to the grandview glacier/ice field to go dog sledding. mix that in with a nice picnic/bottle o'wine and some high alpine nookie and I think thats a pretty schweet anniversary.

They have those little love-making yurts on that mountain outside Fairbanks that all the Japanese go to so they can conceive their children there.
The hotel I stayed at had boots and jackets and a shuttle for them. That must be romantic.
