    helmet-safe paint?

i'm sure i've seen this topic before, but couldn't find it in searching.

whats the deal on this, cause some paints could deteriorate the shell of a helmet and make it less effective, no?

i had ordered my new helmet in white camo but they were out, so i ended up with a dark color. and for those that don't know, i'm one hot steamy bitch, so i prefer light colored helmets. so i'm considering doing it myself.

it's a giro xen (matte slate)

i was thinking of matte paint, maybe light blue, maybe white, maybe both, and doing some kind of ghetto and very home-and-garden-tv sounding sponge painting technique. but maybe with like a foamy leaf stamp, so it would be like leaf camo. i know. it probly sounds pretty gay.
