    Liquid Logic Warranty?

Well, I cracked my Jefe on the Encampment River this weekend. It was a weak spot that took another hit and split. Luckily I was out of most of the rapids at that point, because none of us had duck tape.

Does anyone have experience with LL and cracked boats? I've only had it for a year and am not a 5+ hairboater so I"m a bit disapointed, but love the boat. Will they sell me a new hull for cheap?

my buddy cracked his LL Huck on the Encampment last season. It was his second season in the boat and they ended up replacing it. I think you're in line for a warranty.

No comment on LL and warranty, but for repairing a cracked boat in a semi/permanent way duct tape will not work. You need to have some bitchethane (roof patch material) or vinyl mastic tape. Nothing else will seal the crack and be watertight. Both are available at hardware stores. Best move is to get a hot air gun heat up the cracked area in kayak, warm the bitchethane, slap on patch generously, and heat a little more. I have milked more runs down Vallecitco and other pretty clean runs with a patch.

I'm going to have to disagree here.

I've used this and it works, at least as well as any other repair I've tried.

I've seen both free shells and greatly reduced pricing on replacement shells. The LL folks are solid.

If you are the original owner they will probably warranty it. I know people that have destroyed their boats by swimming out of them and LL still sold them a shell for cheap, very nice of them.
