I have a 60 gig Ipod, I don't have that much music. How can I fill it up? I really don't want to buy songs for 99 cents a pop. Rhapsody doesn't work w/ Ipods. Any ideas?

limewire

limewire is good. If you feel like buying music or for some reason can't use the regular file-sharing networks (my school blocked them), try www.allofmp3.com the songs are $.09 or so instead of $.99
At that price I don't mind paying.

Go to the public library and burn a ton of CDs. Go to your friends' houses and copy all their shit.
http://www.ninjatune.net/solidsteel/rss.xml
Copy and paste all the .mp3 urls out of that, 27 hours right there
Go anywhere that there are a lot of music listeners on a free wireless network. If you live near a college campus libraries and coffee houses are good for this. Then just open up this. You can then download any song that is in someone's shared Itunes library.
MyTunes is another option it's free, made for wireless pcs. You MUST download it w/ Mozilla because they won't let you do it on MS explorer giving a bigto Bill Gates.
Always charging it in honor of Flyin' Ryan Hawks.
Have a cd burning party invite all your friends over and have them bring thier cd's, put all the ones you want on itunes then let them burn what they want. Thats what i do and i have gotten so much music. Or limewire.
You can download Limewire Pro off Limewire and get more searches and faster download speeds for songs
Personally, I use Limewire Pro for individual songs and Torrentspy for whole CD's.
Once i download them, import them into iTunes and plug in you iPod and it will update for you.
Free music.
You spent $400 on an ipod and you don't have enough music to fill it??? You know, they do sell significantly cheaper & smaller ipods....just a thought.....
I got it cheaper then 400 and I figured if I bought a smaller one I'd just be pissed in a year or so,I'm working on filling it. Thanks for the thoughts Torrents are working sweet right now.
Bit Torrent will get you anything you could possible want from movies to music to episodes of 24 you may have missed.

oink is good if ya feel like a pirate, argh
bittorrent is the best quality, gives you full albums, id tags are all legit - perfect for ipods. try www.mininova.org, www.torrentspy.com, www.torrentreactor.net. I use BitComet for my client - it seems to take up less system resources than others ive used.
Few ski movie soundtracks from megaupload. I'd like to credit the person over at NS who compiled these, but I can't be arsed.

I've used this site in the past just dowloading shows to my computer, but today I was trying to put the shows onto my Ipod and it comes up with this error message saying "these songs cannot be played on this Ipod." Anybody know why I'm getting this error or how to get these songs onto an Ipod?Originally Posted by cdlv

edit: they all say .mp3
edit #2: I figured out my problem. On most of the shows you have the option to stream the show or actually download it, and I just had the streaming vesion which you can't put on your Ipod. So for whoever cares, make sure you actually download the show if you want to take it off your computer.

Not a clue then, i've never had an .mp3 not work on my ipod. It might be some obscure encoding.Originally Posted by SafteySquad
right click on the file in itunes and click 'convert selection to aac'
When you inport a .wmv file into iTunes, its set to tell you it needs to be converted to play.Originally Posted by Knight
So if it plays in iTunes, it should mean its converted and therefore works on your iPod

google iFill
I have a 60 too,
iFill acquires internet radio sations (good ones) im nots sure if it is the same list that populates itunes.
I fill downloads these sations and tracks out every song for you, indivudally.
You can stream 4 stations at once, so in essence you could be getting 4 hours of music for every hour you leave your ipod d/l ing from ifill.
good radio too
everything you could ever want
Bump.
Any other good torrents out there? I'm having a hard time finding a lot of the stuff I want, ie: older and/or obscure.
