    co jumping

what up all!!?? stumbled on this page hunting for jumps here in co, most of them have been covered but since im a hunter and HATE HATE HATE hot summer unless im jumping ill give you some more. Since i search every weekend pretty much. front range jumper here, closest to the FR is the tunnel one jump in golden its tiny(8ft) and pretty chill, ive also herd of a spot up 287 in morrison, supposedly its right on the side of the road. into bear creek. looks sketchy as most rivers are. next closest is saint marys, 35 into 12 ft measured by me. Three spots i didnt see mentioned are all good ones, two buttes(10 ft to 65), blue mesa res(bridge22ft and rock54ft), and the potholes(23-53ft) in grand junction. if you youtube these titles youll be able to get an idea. if anyone has more jumps TELL ME!! I LIVE TO JUMP. working on a colorado jumps video with all the spots ive found and played at. hit me up fstrwgn@yahoo.com also another spot thats cool is florisant colorado, about an hour west of co springs, alot like punchbowls in aspen. going to punchbowls in aspen this weekend, then blue lake next weekend!!!! LOVE THIS STATE!!!! stoked some other jumpers getting out. KEEP HUNTING!!!!

Yes. Water level is too low right now.

up on the poudre where 14 goes through the rock tunnel you can climb up and jump in. there is a 20 or so, a 40 or so, and a much higher one. the highest one is downright retarded because its around 60 something feet and you cant even see the water plus youre landing in about a 15' wide area.

Yep, sounds like a great spot to see Darwin's theory in action.

Re: Horsetooth we used to jump off the rocks at the North end of the South Dam...seem to remember it being the go-to spot when the water was low (ymmv--check the depth!)

Re: tunnel rock the middle one is great fun...couldn't hear out of one ear for a month after a bad landing on that one once. The highest one is ridiculous...just climbing up there is stupid scary

    Cliff jumpers?

I write an outdoor sports feature for a monthly publication based in New Orleans, Louisiana called Health & Fitness magazine. I've been assigned to write a feature this month on Cliff Jumping, and as I'm not a cliff jumper myself, I'm looking to talk (or email) with people who have knowledge and experience in the sport to help me learn more about opportunities around the U.S. and abroad. I'd also like to hear about the various techniques and what it feels like.

If you may have a few minutes to help me, please send me an email at the address listed below. Thanks in advance for any help.

I haven't been since I broke my back there last August. I was thinking of checking it out soon, though. So a tip to all jumpers: be sure to keep your body rigid when hitting the water. 50 foot swan dives can fuck you up.

I heard green mountain was filled up, and people were jumping last weekend. I'm sure the water is freezing, though.

you only need 7 ft of water to do 15 -20 ft dives you'll find somethin' ,just curl hard when you hit the water
