Adobe Lightroom Beta is a slick piece of software. Check it out while it's still free for trial. Might make the use of Photoshop totally pointless 99% of the time.

Very nice. Did you add the warmth through Lightroom and the RAW or a filter?

Lightroom and a bit of help from the sun as it was 7pm ish. I'll post an unaltered version later for comparison but the ability to manipulate the light in RAW format is amazing.Originally Posted by edg

Cool. Will check out Lightroom - it seems to be getting a massive following, smart move by Adobe for when the beta expires...Originally Posted by truth

Oh yeah, thanks for the extra T in the package for the delay...sooo stoked!
For the same $ as my upcoming .mac renewal I got a pro smugmug account. I ordered some large prints to test them (and me) out. Kinda fun.

Great pics great choice of equipment. Bought the same lenses and body also bought the 10-22. Need more practice with it not completely happy borrowed a 50 1.4 liked that alot. When you take it skiing what white balance do you use, do you stop it down, af setting continuous multi point center . Have no experience shooting with dslr on the snow.
Not happy with the 10-22 love the rest
Thanks...I have never been on snow with the dslr. We'll find out in a few months what works best. I'm dying to get a 10-22 myself. What seems to be the problem?
Some recent pics...(Sorry iceman).

Cracking shots again, truth. My favs are the Stop sign (the blue of the sky is just brilliant) and the lightning shot. Keep it up!

The lightning shot is bad ass! Nice.
Been a while since I've posted in this so...
These pool shots are self-portraits.
The lightning bolt hit the top of the Sears Tower just out of the frame. I was tucked in as close to building as I could get wshooting from the balcony. Within a few seconds of the shot winds jumped to 60 mph and it was raining sideways at 3" per hour.
