Silverton’s Unique Operating Style for 2006-2007
Additional Unguided Skiing Opportunities at Silverton Mountain.
June 5, 2006….After a successful intro to unguided skiing in April 2006, the 2006-2007 winter at Silverton Mountain will consist of 3 different operating seasons.
Thanksgiving/November 2006 –January 14th 2007
Unguided skiing (guides still available for those who want guided skiing at that time). Could open sooner with good early season snow.
January 18th – April 1, 2007
Guided Only Skiing with approx 80 skiers a day or less
April 5 - April 31, 2007
Unguided skiing returns (guides still available for those who want guided skiing at that time). We will stay open longer if there is sufficient demand.
The goal is always to provide as much terrain as possible for guided or unguided skiing and boarding. During the typically extra heavy snow months of February and March it is harder to keep as much terrain open on a regular basis and as a result those months will stay as Guided Only skiing at this time.
With the addition of new unguided skiing options, the length of the unguided ski season is now longer than the guided only season.
With only a few weeks of Guided Only skiing this year, you will want to make your reservations early.
Discount 10 Day Punch Cards (Fully Transferable) for guided skiing are available until Sept 1, 2006 for only $999.
The very first season passes for the unguided skiing will go on sale soon. Only a limited amount will be sold.
