That was the most amazing trailer I've seen in a long time.
Even at this day and age, there's progression in it, but the filming was hands down mindblowing.

Anyone hating on it is either jealous or just a hater. Props MSP. Now shorten the download time!!!

That was pretty sick! Abma's little teaser was unreal, as was the tandem lines.

Hey MD9, don't worry, I didn't take it that way. As far as that download goes, I don't know what happened. Earlier today it downloaded immediately, later I was able to kick the neighborhood dog around for about 15 minutes. I'll give them a ring tomorrow and it should be cleared up.

I'll have you know that the movie won't be an extended reflection of the teaser. Expect more, not just in running time. If we don't deliver, we suck.

And Trackhead, you're just right. We're all a bit jaded these days. I agree that we've probably had too many heli/sunset/jib shots per movie the past few years, but does anyone get criticized for doing the same heli big mountain kind of shot year after year? Are people tired of on-slope shots because you see them over and over? How about pow shots, where the snow is flowing over the shoulders with every turn. God, we've seen it a thousand times, year after year, all in the exact slow-motion frame rate.

What it comes down to is this: have you seen any film capture a booter with better filming, in more beautiful light than these MSP shots that people would rather criticize? No. What are we supposed to do, shoot mid-day, from the ground, with crap on the lens? No, you try to capture what's happening in the most incredible manner possible. If you're going to gripe about that, well, yes, you're jaded and an unappreciative whiner. If you dig it, cool. We want to set ourselves apart with our cinematography, and I think ours is far and away the best in the snowsports industry. I intend to put together a film this year that most people will be really stoked on. I'd like people to say it's the best ski film ever. The one guarantee? Not everyone will love it.

I thought the trailer was AWESOME!!!!! FKNA! Sure there's some "done" shots, but photographically they are still great shots. Really excited about the number of shots with 2 people ripping a line together, maybe not the best BC message but looks stunning. Great job there. I think MSP does a sweet job, I thought hit list was well timed and interesting, focused was all-time. As long as it's got Hugo in it, I could watch that guy slay all day. And it's good to see Mike D's getting bigger lines, I always thought the jibbing only segments of hime were a waste of a really good skier that's also really good to watch. That double stager in the preview is

And china as a destination, nice!

Finally got the damn thing to play after about 15 minutes of it downloading. Looks pretty sick. Good to see two people straightlining at the same time. Looks like it will be better than Hitlist, which shouldn't be too hard IMO.

people here may be bored stiff by the repetitive shots, lame music or what have you, but you guys just wait for the rest of the world to wake up and you'll find a whole bunch of skiers really excited!

i sent the link to my friends in Bulgaria, tomorrow they'll be in awe! to those who may have missed the humour in TGR's teaser teaser, the cinematography and skiing here will be like a hammer blow.

i'm just sad i'm not the target demographic anymore: i didn't feel like going out and buying something from Helly-Hansen immediately; the flippy-spinny stuff looked like action set up for a great shot (not the other way around) and i felt kinda old

you are so on-the-money there. what they get is usually 'the song that was popular (not nec good) from 3 years ago' when it comes to hip-hop/rap.

    other music is good.

(i know that licensing cost plays a role here, but there is good stuff out there that would be better and probably equal or less $...again, when it comes to rap.)

Downloading it right now - thoughts so far:

Kickin' song - we are TOTALLY going to have to use it

Really dig the opening graphics/sound - nicely done.

Artistic through the tree shooting/sunset stuff really looks good

I DIG the two skies at once doing a line thing. Something you don't see everyday in ski porn.

Athletes wrecking & blood shown is just scarry man. This sport can kill. That fact sucks.

I am a ski porn addict & will definately add this to my collection.

Sum up: You should have teased this teaser. Can't believe you blew your load in one shot. Rookie.

Are you kidding me? Ok, granted the theatre version of hitlist was nothing steller, but Remix was fucking awesome. Tell me JT Holmes segment (among others) didn't drop your jaw.

Huck-- any chance we see another one of your own independent films this fall? I'm love your movies shot at Squaw and other locations that I can get to relatively easily... 1999, Walls, Immersion. I'd love to see another.

Nice shot of the Nest to open the trailer!

Oh man I'm not sorry about the divorce at all. To be honest with you this past year has been the greatest thing to ever happen to me. It's cool man I'm in in a very, very cool place

And in my soul I'm at Tahoe already

I was a little disappointed my segment was so short, whats up with that? I was told I would have about 3 to 5 seconds for the teaser.

I dug it. I'll be the first to admit I've been an MSP hater for a bit now.

I am over the heli-jibber-sunset thing. I think it's a bit different than a slow-mo skier getting faceshot pow. I realize it might be cool for production people...but it kind of looks the same to me.

I liked the song too, good choice. That switch double back was incredible. Who did it?

I wouldn't worry too much. I don't think anyone's saying it's bad or unoriginal. They're just saying they could do better. For the record, I'm saying that as well.

Solid work. I'm not a jibber and usually can't stand watching it, but the slow-mo heli sunset shots never get old. It's just so clean and smoove. MSP's cinemetography is so much better than anyone out there right now.

But someone please tell me why, why, why neon is making a comeback?

I had intentions of doing my own thing this past year, but then MSP let me roll with a lot of ideas that I really wanted to incorporate, and I think they'll really spice up the film this year. Some things we didn't get around to and will have to wait another year, but I think this film should be far better than Hit List.

And Lane, I had nothing to do with the trailer. You just be a good little boy and go ski some Kiwi pow. I hadn't even seen 95% of the footage until I saw the teaser yesterday, so people don't have to suck up to me (suck up to me when the movie comes out).
