Anyone got some Dynafit boot inserts?

I've just scored some Comforts on ebay ($235 shipped, new with brakes, seemed ok, right?), now looking to get my boots ready for them. I can't bear to part with my trusty red Denalis that fit me really well so was planning on trying to retrofit Dynafit inserts, as described by Dawson.

I've been searching around but haven't found any old boots that I can tear apart for the inserts. Does anyone have any that are suitable as donors? Or any inserts alone that they had retrieved with the idea of doing this?

Would be very grateful if you have this stuff kicking around and can help me. Willing to pay shipping, beer and/or whatever you think they're worth if it's a sensible price. Being in the UK means that sending entire boots is not a great idea so some saw-on-boot action to roughly extract the key bits and save weight would be much appreciated.

Have you checked German Ebay... There seemed to be a bunch of old Dynafit Tourlite -boots going rather cheaply (last one I remember, went at something like 20'ish Eur).

That's where I got the binders from but the boots run to a load more (than they're worth IMO) due to the higher cost of shipping. Will keep an eye there though.

May end up plumping for a pair of Lasers of Matrixes (Matrices?) but feel really bad about ditching a really decent pair of boots.

$235 is not bad but you can get comforts for 180e (~$230) from http://www.schindele.griesthal.de/ .. just saying if someone is in need of a pair of touring bindings for the next season

Didn't find one... But the touring binders are on this page.

So check the price and write 'em an email at info(at)sport-schindele.de asking for shipping an all that crap...

Remember to mention that they should deduct VAT (should be around 16%) from the prices as the products are shipped outside the EC/EU.

    Shipping.

That was around the best price I found before buying at the auction and so (including shipping) a little higher than my highest bid. I was hoping to get the binders a fair bit cheaper but some fucker tried to snipe me and pushed my bid to withing a couple of Euros of my max...

I though you knew german... It states the prices for Germany, Austria and rest of Yurp... If outside, there is this line "contact us for the price", atleast roughly... My german sucks big time.

So I have tried emailing these folks and due to the lack of my German skillz I haven’t gotten very far………..I have been told (from what I can syfer) the cost for Comforts less VAT is 140 Euros!!!! I really NEED (OK want) these bindings. Is there anyone out there that can find a phone number for them? On the “Kontakt” page it just brings up what appears to be an email form.
    Thanks

You could try composing them an email in english and dropping it into one of those online translator things to switch it to german (start with an apology for bad grammar!!). Ask them to reply in german if their english sucks. When you get the response back, put it back thru the translator.

I've had entire conversations about pretty technical work-related subjects with german collaborators this way - its not perfect, but you should be able to get some bindings shipped

Hope this works. Look right down the bottom. They've got funny links, so maybe not. If not, it was the "Unsere AGB's" link down the bottom. Most German people will speak reasonable English. Unless they're old.

Yep, sorry.... I meant that write the damn email in english... My german is utter rubbish (can hardly order a beer at the bar), and still I shop regulary from Germany (bigger selection of stuff and cheaper than in Finland), thus I mostly write them in english. If the calling didn't work.

tried ordering from those guys on the internet yesterday and not too sure if the order went thru and didn't see any credit card way to pay for things.

pow4brains, did you order on the net or over the phone?
