Wondering if anyone has a SRAM X.9 (X.7 and X.0 also good) front (left) index shifter.

Maybe your bike came with SRAM and you switcted back to shimano, or maybe you got rid of the front derailer all together? Anyone?

The rear shifter is an X.9, so for some reason I want my bars to be symmetrical, but I guess I'd be interested in any higher end shimano or sram front shifter. I just got a new used bike, and although the whole thing looks near mint, the shifter did get damaged in shipping...so I need to replace it ASAP.

Oh yah...I've never used SRAM grip shift, but I'd imagine it would be nice for a front shifter as you can (I'm assuming) tweak the tension a bit more than an indexed shifter. Is that the case? Does anyone like the grip-shifts nowdays?
