I will speak for the masses when I say I am jealous

Make some turns for those who do not have the liberty to do so.

I will assume there is no summer school scheduled for you

I've worked in Whistler the past 2 summers and the village is truthfully way more fun in the summer than it is in the winter! I leave Tuesday to live there for at least the next year and I can't wait. My mountain bike is begging me to take it for daily rides- if you need someone to bike with in the mornings I can take you around the non-park trails.

Bigtrubs, I do believe that was funken's alter-sarcasticness. He is quite stoked to be spending each day riding his bike in Whistler

I bet you are. 1 month of skiing every other day, then the next month spent in Hawaii....You lucky bastard.

I must say though, your sanity level has been at an all-time low this past month from dealing with those kids. Glad you made it through without completely losing it!

If you know your history, then you would know where you coming from, then you wouldn't have to ask me, who the heck do I think I am.

My understanding is that originally the school schedule was based on the agricultural needs of early America. Now its just really a "tradition."

I have always believed in switching the summer vacation to winter. I even had my class do a debate and write essays arguing for or against the idea. Eventhough most students thought it would suck, we found some powerful and logical ideas why it could work.

Just another example of the great things a Maggottician could accomplish.

Yea, my well-off suburban high school was built in the early 1900s and didn't have air conditioning. It sucked for a whopping 3 weeks out of the year. I do remember taking some of those last tests of the year and sweating on my papers as I rested my arm on them. It does make it hard to concentrate when you are sweating just by sitting still.

just a guess....but cuz it's hot and kids were needed to work in the fields during the longer summer hours.

you could stay in-stand & transfer to dartmouth and take your winter quarters off, y'know...
