    Lemon Boy,

I've never seen F 9/11, I was too busy working 100 hours a week on a campaign to see a movie that was obviously so obviously partisan and actually wound up doing more harm than good. I did see BFC, and found that one to be an interesting commentary on our culture, but beyond that, pretty pointless. Since it preached to people who wouldn't go beyond complaining about the current state of affairs without doing anything about it, I wrote it off.
I don't know what is worse. That you haven't seen F911 (which is a hack job, I might add) or that you spent 100 hours a week working on a campaign for:

Edit to add this to remove any sense of partisanship from my post:

MM lives in a world of his own imagination. Far too many (otherwise intelligent) people are all too quick to believe the dreck he puts out because it seems to justify their political hatred.
That article is quite famous and was quite famously debunked. I'll try to track down the great rebuttal to it that was floating around for a while. Basically the gist of it is that only the most minor and inconsequential points were valid (such as the Gore victory thing) and all the 'major' and important facts Moore referenced in his movie (despite his somewhat suspect methods of emphasizing them) stood up to scrutiny, and indeed were available in 'mainstream' news sources long before the movie even came out.

Honestly I don't see how it matters. As I stated above, REALITY is now much worse than the picture Moore painted in F/911. Imagine if he made this movie AFTER 2500 us soldiers had been killed instead of before.

Dude, I am sorry. I edited the post because it was over the top. Like you, I don't like being accused of things that are not true, or of being a radical.

But you took my quote out of context, I was referring to people within the United States. When f 9/11 came out, right wing blogs were trumpeting the fact that the left was cheering during a scene when the planes hit the WTC, painting everyone as rooting for the terrorists. I deeply resented that.

Also sorry about your dog, I know how horrible it is to lose a friend.

Ron Tele, don't even get me started on how frustrating it was to work on that campaign. Dealing with Mary Beth Cahill was one of the more exasperating experiences of my life.

The war in Iraq is neither honoring or defending this country.

Merely some light jibbing. The 2004 election could have been the single worst election in US history. Like South Park aptly put it, we spent four billion dollars to choose between a turd and douche. But in the end, listening to John Kerry speak induced vomitting. I was just praying, hoping, and wishing at some point he would have taken a STAND ON SOMETHING!!!

Michael Moore is a douche too. And he looks like Pizza the Hut.

I too have edited my post. from your Kind to YOU PEOPLE.

I like the debate in this country. But I draw the line when we get the rest of the world in on it, because they dont give a shit. Its like that kid on your team that always drops the ball, its ok for the team to make fun of him, but not the other team.

Many countries resent the USA, and have for a long time. Having some fat bloated American feed them what they want to hear is ok.
True, but they are going to feel that way with or without MM. Much the same way a large number of countries around the world idolize the US, with or without MM.
If I need a point, I guess it would be that the guy really doesn't have any relevance and most people, who haven't already decided one way or the other, likely won't be swayed by him.

Wrong again. That is why they offered feeble resistance during the Baghdad invasion, and dropped out of sight for many months and re-formed as a guerrilla insurgency.
So how does it feel to be the only person on this forum qualified to discuss the Iraq war..?

    Only one question....

Why isn't this in the Padded Room? If anything belongs there, this would be it.

You have obviously have not read anything from Veterans that were in this first part of the war to think they offered feeble resistance. Try reading a book someday!

So tell me, how can you judge someone's reaction in a combat situation? I was not getting into PNW about his viewpoint on the war but the fact that he said that the Marines are running around wild in Haditha which is so far from the truth. Unfortunately bad shit happens in wars because decisions are made instantly under the most extreme stress and having not been under that stress you can never understand it!

I don't smoke and I don't even know what a 'blintz' is. But I do know what an out of control political argument is and I know what a ski forum is. And I also know that the two don't mix well. So...

Thank you, thank you very much

    JONG!

Well they must mix very well because since I have been on this board have seen and been a part of these discussions on just a few occasions!

Silly limey you are a prime example. I am not sure if you are a citizen yet, or why you would ever be one, but if you are, I think you have traveled enough to understand what it is I am saying.

Alot of people are preconditioned to believe what they see, and have little reason to question why some of the movie could be propoganda. Why would they want to? For that, I consider the movie to be irresponsible.

I am sure you would agree with the Bush "ball dropping though" too bad you miss shit like that.

Wow. Anyone that can't see that Michael Moore is a total douchebag doesn't even deserve arguing with.

Put Savage and Moore together to debate. THAT would be fucking AWESOME.

How about William Jefferson getting caught with $90,000 in cash in his freezer in his government office that we paid for. And now politicians on both sides are whining about the legality of the search, a warrant for which was issued by a Federal judge. I hate them all, only criminals and megalomaniacs go into politics now.
