Its all and green and summery down in the valley but winter still hides in the hills.
Yesterday I got to ski with three ladies instead of just one or the more normal none.
Redskea – Emma and Norma.
The weather was nice. So nice in fact we had a fresh dusting of snow.
For Emma it was her first time up the Midi to ski – She hs always worked winters elsewhere and summers in Chamonix
Norma lives here but hasn’t been up in two years or more due brining a little one into this world.
Redskea was along to make sure I behaved.
Norma carving it up
Emma enjoying the glacier with some snow on it.
The clouds kept coming and going. Restricting our choice of route to a mellow but almost untracked one. But also giving us some wonderful backdrops.
I hope they all enjoyed themselves. I didn’t hear any complaints despite an hour of rock scrambling and hiking to get off the glacier because the gondola is still broken at Montonvers and I didn’t fancy the ladders again.
