    V-Pro rant

So I got a new pair this year maybe had 10 days in on them and they delamed on me. So now I have no skis. I sent them back through the shop and the shop said I might have them in a month.

So when a rail busts out of the base on a new ski is it the rider or the ski's fault?

I can understand the delam, but what do you mean a rail busts out of the base?

We had two guys in our shop delam both of theirs in under 15 days each.

There was a small hole in the side wall of the ski at the tip. It looks like the side wall just fell out. The edge under the hole seems to have just poked out of the base.

What did the guys in your shop do? Get the same ski?

This was last year's ski, but both got credit and got a different ski. Saw a kid this past weekend where the edge and a good chunk of topsheet came off the tip of his ski. Did yours break off where the edge is segmented? Kind of u shaped, wrapping around the tip.

i had that happen to me (tip cracking, shattering, that black plastic filler just fell out) but the edges stayed intact, so i skied them for the rest of the season, whacked a rock and delammed them, kept skiing them, coreshots, sent them in and they got replaced with this years.

Yeah the chunk came out right were the edge ends and tips starts to wrap around. Maybe I should just try to get a store credit.

    Thumbs down

Seems like a pretty typical flaw. Bum deal, maybe the shop would be willing to swap for something off the wall.

My V-Pros are bomber. They've taken repeated rock bashings no probs.

    However:

We've sent back multiple Volkls from our shop (mostly last years Vertigo Motion (G3 with motion system) for cracked topsheets under the tip of the toe pieces. A few marker binding failures. Technica boots simply cracking in the instep.

(please note I have 4 pairs of volkls)
