If I show up, should I be wearing a Pearl Izumi skort?
A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

hey IG - i think the boys (Bear and Lebowski) may also end up making the trek to PC with us on friday - even if it's to ride something other than whatever the girls do.

You know, we could probably make the Friday ride a boy/girl ride too, if there are that many maggots interested - and let's be honest, what maggot DOESN'T want to ride with a bunch of hot maggettes in bike shorts and tops?

Or keep two separate rides, either way. Maybe all meet together Friday and decide from there...

I'll be ridin somewhere this afternoon in PC. Maybe all the ladies skilled in DH might inspire me to pull out my big bike and ride some of the 24/7 mini-DH courses. Any of you who have yet to ride those, heres your chance for a free tour guide! Tips appreciated.

BTW, I swung by Summit Cycles on my way to Wild Oats Kimber to give you pedals but it was right after you left I think.

I'm fine with whoever wants to ride, this is a just a place for the ladies to get together, as it seems we always ride with the boys (not that there's anything wrong with that).

I think I'm too slow to ride with the Utarded boys though

The 24/7 mini DH runs are fun. You definitely don’t need a big bike to enjoy them. I’ve been riding them on my 5” XC bike. I think cutthroat has nice little drops but needs more traffic to clean it up. Dropout is longer and flows a lot better with fun little jumps.

If you are just riding the DH runs and want to do laps. The place to park is just off the Jeremy Ranch Exit instead of Glenwild. Go right past the stupid cargo container and over the bridge to get to the trailhead. It took me only 8 minutes to get to the bottom of the DH section. Then it’s 400 feet of vertical per lap. Reminded me of skinning for laps in the winter, only, all I had to do was raise and lower my saddle.

Sorry but I'm stealing my wife for the weekend in Fruita/Moab

Oh I know I don't need my "big" bike, but my other bike is a 24 pound weenie racer bike. My big bike is hardly what any of you rad folks would consider big. And good call about the parking, although I like parking at Glenwild so that I can do the Glenwild loop on my way back from lapping Cutthroat and Drop.

Hi ladies, beginner friend here. Looking forward to meeting you all. Thanks for doing easy ride today. Hoping I stay on my bike. I have only been riding a couple times (on a real bike--spinning doesn't count does it?) and have a tendency for spectacular crashes.

even if a bunch of maggot dudes come up and ride separate (or with, whatevs), maybe we should all meet up and hit el chubasco once a week after riding. mmmm, so yummy (and if the ride is in the SLC area, we can invade lonestar)

I love the Crest and all, but really want to check out some new places this summer, so you better come with me Lynx!

I have at least 3 or 4 new places in mind, so don't get your heart set on "the crest" all the time!!

Awesome riding, glad we met up ladies. LDD, nice to finally meet you too, after so many internet conversations.

Siva, great job! She hammered through the ride, MUCH better than I did when starting out! (She even rode Aerie w/o walking . Of course, I was hideously out of shape when I started and had to walk it every time, so....)

El Chubasco's was delicious, however I ended up with crippling indigestion for a couple hours, and only ate 1/3 of the damn thing! (Smothered burrito, mmmm.) So I'd be down with the occasional trip there after biking, but wow does that stuff not like my internals.......blech.

And yes, AC & Lynx, definately SLC biking too - I'm definately a Jong on those trails and would like to learn a few. You get to show me the ropes...

    Cheers until next ride...

Yentna, couldn't have done it without u. Thx for a great intro! Can't say it was fun the whole time, but I'm game for another try. Think I'm gonna practice some of those switchback skills before we meet again. It was great meeting everyone. Thanks!

Have fun AC, still haven't ridden that trail but I will join you in the future.

But I think I'm out for the ladies rides this week, chicas.

Blathering excuses: dog run tonight & maybe installing E-13 on my DH bike, Bountiful tomorrow night, working Thursday (& quite possibly Friday) night(s), gone to race & Buzzapalooza III the weekend (hopefully see quite a few of you there, eh?)

But next week, hit me up!!!! Game on...

If the weather holds for the rest of the week, my plan is to try to ride Spiro - Mid Mountain - Johns on Friday after work. I'll probably drag my husband along, but anyone is welcome to join. I haven't ridden Spiro yet, so the climb will probably kill me, but the decent down Johns is super fun.

Unfortunately, I'm probably out for other mid week rides this week....too much school stuff going on.

I'm game for friday after work, and saturday before buzzapalooza and possibly sunday after buzzapalooza depending on how uh "buzzed" i get sat. night. But i think i'd much rather ride my bike than be hungover.

AC, i'm always game for new places! Let me know what you've got on your mind.

I don't know what Spiro is, as I've just heard a little bit about it. Sounds scary and a hell of a climb...but I think I'm in for Friday as well. Might as well try a new ride up there, especially if the uphill will work the crap outta me!

What time we want to meet?

Hmm, Sprio and I have it in for each other. It's a hate hate relationship , well, it's fun to ride down but shitty on the way up. If I'm not working / installing parts Friday, I may be down for a re-match. Spiro!
