We rode the crest today, and I finally cleaned puke hill!! WOO HOO.

Just for the record, I am mandating that we have a new bike celebration/party when AC's 575 comes in!!

If I new they came with a party I would have posted when I bought mine.

Classes start this week again, so I'm back to a M/W/F riding schedule.

Wed, I'm taking my beginner friends out riding again, so crest is out for that day.

I could be up for an early Sat crest ride, but I'm not crazy about the traffic that's on the trail at that time. Yesterday, we ran into more trail runners and hikers than I've seen in a long time. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about sharing the trail....I just have more fun when it's less busy.

Our lights came in this week too, so we may be up for some night rides in the near future, if anyone is interested.

i might be down for a wed. night crest ride. in fact i'd love to ride the crest on wed. as it will be my last night before heading to SA for 2 weeks! (im also really curious to see what the alleged "trail maintenence" did to Mill D.) and then we can celebrate AC's new bike with some post-ride lonestar action.

UTSG, you should like ditch yer friends and stuff especially cause i owe you and PFH beer for driving to PC last week!

Doh! My bad....I was working to change my Wed riding plans so I could pull off a crest ride that night instead....looks like that's not happening though.

My new bike is currently being built(thank you Mr. Altagirl!). Should hopefully be done by tomorrow night so I can ride wed. If it's not done by then, I'm in for a crest ride on Thursday and/or Friday.

Since it gets darker earlier now, the Crest is out for me after work now days.

I must do something shorter. I will be on the Crest on the weekends unfortunately.

I have to ride and if I have to ride the Quarry since it's super close, then that's what I do. It can be fun powho, you should come with us sometime and stop being such a crest snob.

I think we're still going to try to ride Crest Friday night, but I might be able to squeeze in a Sat morning ride if I don't end up riding in PC.

We should definitely ride soon, though! Gotta check out AC on the Yeti!

So Crest tonight?

My last two attempts at a Quarry ride ended up in failure!
First try, flatted just past the upper bridge. Put in a new tube, but its valve was faulty! Old tube hada a snake bite and I only had one patch left. Walked down.

Attempted it again last night, first long rocky climb had a new tube explode! Loud as crap and powerful enough to shoot my derailleur cable off the guides and punch out the sidewall on my tire a good half inch. Walked back down again.


I think I'll have better luck on the crest.

I'm done here at 4:30 and J is done at 5. We could probably be at Mill D as early as 5:30.

I can actually start anytime after 4pm. As long as I'm done by 7:30pm, I'll be fine.

My new ride hasn't been up puke hill yet...we'll see how that goes.

me and the wife were going to do spiro around that time....maybe we will change plans if there are some folks doing crest tonight.. We would just need someone willing to drive us back to the top of guardsman to pick up our car when we pop out at the bottom.
