So I must rant. Apparently, the only thing that qualifies a mountain to be worth skiing or climbing is that magical, althoughly highly ambiguous number heard frequently when reading a post about any mountain in Nepal/China. Is there some kind of warm, fuzzy feeling that is felt when climbing about 29000 feet that I don't know about?
I'm sure there are tens of peaks under 28000 feet throughout the world that far surpass the gnarliness, overall experience, and quality of skiing that any 29er has.
Like I have said before and I'll say again. I'm tired of hearing people in mountaineering talk shit on themselves/friends/strangers that the peak they are attempting isn't 29000 feet. If you want a nice 13er to spend your afternoon on, try day touring Molly Hogan bowl.
