NPR news bit on Doug Coombs

Did anyone else hear it? It was interesting, and fitting in my book. It tapped into his career, and let people ever so slightly see the world of ski mountaineering and extreme skiing.

I forget who's bit it was, but he was an occaisional contributer, and a diehard skier who knew Mr. Coombs personally.

    Any thoughts on it?

I thought it was very well done. A rarity anymore. i heard it on my way up to the Horseshoe canyon bike trails, which have stellar views of the Tetons from the west. It was very fitting, and appropriate.

It's nice that the report came from a personal perspective, though I think a lot of the description was overdone. Skyscraper steep? Ugh. That's radio writing, though.

Ahh, NPR everyone knows that is a tool of the radical left. Only communists and america haters listen to NPR.

Seriously though it is good to see the legacy getting some coverage.
You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?

I heard it on my way home yesterday. Good coverage in my opinion.
