i learned how to snowboard quite a ways back, but have only been surfing for a little over a year. i know that snowboarding feels a lot like surfing, but nothing else feels like skiing.

i have a pair of blue noodles, but i don't think they're gonna make the plane.

I won't be flailing (hopefully) but I'll be boarding Bird Friday, Basin Sat and Sun (unless I get an urge to ski again, but I can keep up better in all conditions on my board) and ski suck Monday at Alta.

    So:

    Buzz
    Frizzo
    Board
    Boarderline
Tuff Guy (I don't know why I enjoy calling you that, no disrespect meant)
    Others??

i'd have ya beat if i was showing...i bought this board from Karl Stall last year. i don't even know how big it is. maybe 178? it's an old school Glissade. fukin beast. only good on uber powder days, cause for some reason they made it stiff as a mutha fuka, and a stiff 178 in chop hurts bad...

although my standard board is a 164, so ya prolly got me.
    Craig Kelly is my co-pilot.

My board's only a 160, but after waxing it it looks bigger.

Sounds like we have a li'l crew of monkeys:

    - Buzz
    - Board
    - ilike2ski's buddy
    - Boarderline
    - Maybe Tuffy (though I'm not holding my breath)
    - Frizzo

I'm wondering if there's enough of a boarding contigent, and Monday looks rad, we skip Alta and ride The Bird (or somewheres).

Tuff, I've got a board but your feet are smaller than mine. And you know what that means. Yup, you'll have to get boots elsewhere.

Never Summer Premier 159 here. I just took it to Milo today to get it tuned. It needs three base welds and a bunch of P-Tex work courtesy of the Cirque traverse.

Milo always does an amazing job of tuning boards; I tend to have a 'no mercy' attitude toward my base (read: I hit a lot of rocks) and my base/edges come back looking brand-spankin' new after a Milo tune.

C’mon Board maybe it plane nicer with some speed and steep but wouldn’t it be more likely you leave you stranded in hell.

I’ll take my Nitro PowderGun 178 swallowtail over a silly fish

Okay, now put your height, weight, and shoe size next to your names and we'll hook you all up with skis.

That IS why you started this thread... right Jay?

Hehe, bunch o' boarders on skis. Should be amusing. Any skiiers want to step up to the plate and give boarding a shot?

    stupid logic:

    2001 + 3 years later = 2004
    2 hours + 3 years later = 5 hours this time!!

For a lot of us getting on a board for a few mild turns on a groomer is a higher risk of injury than tossing inverts or cliffs. I say let everybody ride on the item they are most comfortable with. Which is why I'll be on snowblades.

I agree, but if you have the urge.....

Now who am I talking to this time, who is drugged for now.

I think I know, but I will keep it to myself.

I remember the outing, so from the writing I would guess ...........

There are plenty of cliffs at the Bird for you to toss boarded inverts off of.
