It does appear a real strom is closing in on the mighty Andes. Snow-forecast has a couple feet in the forecast for the top of LL for tomorrow. It was a long summer, it will be very welcomed!

Thought I'd open it up to you guys if we fly.
The op is offering week-long trips, but I told them if they offered some 1-2 day flight packages, some friends might come along.
I'll post something when I hear more........
Yo, werd on the street is Las Leñas is going to have a heli this year. Is this what you are referring to. Bear in mind that everything in this country is subject to change and needs to be taken with a grain of sodium!

There was one two years back, when I was there. Kind of low key advertising but there was a brochure in the hotel Aries.

They had a drop off point near the start of Adrenelina but I couldn't convince my jobless ski bum friends to fork over the cash. The other drop off points were all silly though - with ski outs back to the village, so Torrecillas, etc. - stuff that's easy to hike to. Hopefully they're now doing drop off / pick up points further afield.

If it's anything like the set up at Portillo most of the time it'll be used to transport rich Brazilians/Chileans to "heli-lunch"

I'll sniff around some more. So far I hear maybe more remote peaks, but alot of the stuff we hear ends up being not true.
