AK mini lets do this for real!

Ok its been long enough time for an AK mini summit, my vote is for late march, we should go snowcatting with owens, and infest aly. Any ideas/opinions, could anyone not from AK make it?

i might be around the last week of march. the attempts to get the ak mags together have always been hampered by the fact that most tend to be unreliable in the planning department. i include myself in that group, was supposed to get together with rusty for some turns last year a few times and it never quite materialized. i'll post when i'm home for turn hookups, but i have no clue what i'm doing tomorrow much less two months from now...

I'm easy - I'm in Girdwood every day.

why don't you all just sign up for some cat skiing with owens, pref. with a deposit, since we know that after they've paid, everyone WILL show up.

Actually, we've been holding Alaska minis every year for several years. Quite a few of us fly up for a rousing good time. We just don't advertise it because someone who isn't welcome...

    never mind.

I'm in Cordova all of March. I probably won't be able to leave town, but if anyone wants to grab a beer in the evening, let me know.

Whatever guys I'm around (on the mountain or BC) 5 days a week so anytime is good for me. Maybe we could have a couple of beers (including those persons of a resonable age and level of intelect) at my place after some turns on the Mt. make it happen.

I'm nowhere near the realm of commitment, but I'd be interested in some turns in AK, especially in the b/c . . . how much light is there in March?

I think the dates should be the last week of march considering the tahoe summit is march 5-15 maybe there would be some people loaded enough to attend both, it would be cool to coenside with the US nationals that are held at aly (which is also spring break) then we could be in the presence of Bode and Darhen (sp?) and those of us who are in school could hang out. I'm thinking 1 day of snowcatting, a day of backcountry and a bunch at aly, if of course people want to come up (highly recomended this place in march is epic) oh yeah and if its snows a ton in town a day at alpenglow, my best pow days of the year last year were spent poaching the cornice
