    Forearm training for cheap???

I'm going to post this question, although better judgement warns me against it...

    here goes...

I saw stretchy forearm excerciser at Teton Mountaineering yesterday. I'm looking for some good forearm excercise, but don't want to spend alot of bread.

Recommendations for inexpensive forearm excercises? (Besides choking the chicken?)

eg-I cut in half my son's nerf football- and that works pretty well, I was wondering what others did. Buying some $50+ trainer is out of the question.

Hey, it's gotta be a lot more fun than the weight-on-a-string-roller.

    From Men in Black:

Jay: Alright, I'm in. 'Cause there's some next level shit going on and I'm OK with that. But before y'all go beaming me up there's one thing you gotta remember: You chose me... so you recognized the skills, so I don't want nobody calling me son or kid or sport or nothing like that, cool?
Kay: Cool, whatever you say, slick, but I need to tell you something about all your skills. As of right now, they mean precisely... dick.

I'm climbing 3-4 times a week right now. I'm looking for the "next level shit".

The weight on a string really is a good exercise. Years of Lacrosse and Hockey and that is the only forearm exercise I ever needed. Just keep getting faster, more reps, and add weight.

Take section of newspaper. Starting one fully opened sheet at a time, crumple it into a tight ball using only one hand. Repeat for each sheet of the section.

Am I reading correctly that you want to train for climbing? You can take a single 4x4, round the top edge, and use it as a fingerboard to simulate everything from a large sloper to small crimps. It won't really help your climbing though unless you're climbing high 12s/low 13s already, in which case a campus board or system board would be worth the $$ instead. Climbing helps your climbing.

Well, I guess you ruled out masturbation because buying porn adds up after awhile.

Hammer nails into a new roof, deck, or fence.

Mtn Biking makes for good cross training.

I have the old school spring/handle squeeze grip exercisers too. They are like $5 at Target.

Ironmind has all you need. Products are expensive, but in most cases you can homebrew alternatives. Captains of Crush grippers are gold. "Mastery of Grip Strength" is a pretty good book, worth the money.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Baron Von Raschke yet!

The claw has to be the best forearm training by far!

Check this out. The third one down is the trainner and is plenty difficult. Not like the pussy grippers you'll see at a sporting goods store.

This with combined with winding the weight on the stick and you'll need anchors on your fuckin forearms!

Even cheaper if you just fill a milk jug with sand instead of a weight. Tie rope to handle of jug.

    Kansas City , Missouri ( FNWIRE )--

-A record was broken and a myth was proven false on Friday, scientists say. Missourians can be proud of fellow citizen and octogenarian Floyd Smith. Smith masturbated for the one millionth time. This time it was for science.

The record breaking act occurred without fanfare Friday in a lab on the third floor of Lee's Summit Hospital with scientist researchers and doctors attending. "We tried to keep the research low profile until our findings were in," Christopher Scheider PH.D. said. Scientists conclude that a person's vision will not be impaired by masturbation as once believed. "Mom's around the country need to rethink what they say," Scheider said.

A press conference was held at Lee's Summit Hospital where doctors and scientists confirmed that not only had Mr. Smith masturbated one million times, but his vision was as good as ever. "It is hard to confirm the million figure, but by all accounts he was very active. We have done very thorough testing," Scheider said.

Scheider who has led a study into this myth for the last twenty years. He was one of many scientist and doctors to be at Smith's side during the press conference. Unfortunately there were no family members present. He has outlived his family. Smith who never married and turned 81 less than a month ago has lived in the same neighborhood his whole life.

A shy man, Smith, retired after 30 years working as a maintenance person for a nearby elementary school. "I loved my job, even when the kids teased me," Smith said referring to his misshapen forearm.
