    FS: Look P18

I recently bought some Look P18s on Ebay, but now realize that I cannot afford to have them sitting around the entire summer. Also, there is no reason for me to have a binding with a DIN to 18. So, these are also up for trade. I would like to get around 120 cash for them(flexible), or trade for a less-intense binding (914,916, 997 ect.) and some cash.

The bindings are in fully functional condition, they just have some blue marker on the release that was there when I purchaced them. They also come with all mounting hardware and 4mm risers. I bent the brakes straight out so I wouldnt have to take them apart again to adjust for whatever skis I decided to get. I dont have access to a vice right now, so i dont think that I can bend them to whatever size you want. I think that they will still fit in a flat-rate box, will find out tomorrow.

Either PM or post, ill try to answer any questions.

What is the retail on P18s again. I seem to remember that there were some on this forum for 160 that had a really high demand. 120 flexible isnt a bad price at all. I dont think people care about the cosmetic apperance, just functionality, and these are fully functional bomber bindings.

That is funny cause I was watching that same auction. I even sent him a PM and called him on it. Seems like he is trying to pull a Lineskier-101 on us.

Yeah, he pulled a snipe on me which is cool, that's the way ebay works...

But a 45% markup for the mags seems pretty lame.

uhhh...if you guys wanted them, why didn't you bid more for them?

lineskier pulled shit from people for free and resold it. that is very different than buying something on eBay and reselling it. he is marking them up a bit here, but he got them fair and square on eBay. if someone is willing to pay him what he is asking for the bindings, whatevs. he would be less chastized if he just said he snagged them on eBay for cheap and wants to make some $ to buy some treats though.

I didn't want them that bad I guess.

He said his $120 is neg. and I made my offer. It's his choice to accept it or hold out for more.

I haven't been around here too long but it seems that there are some folks looking to hook others up and some looking to turn a profit. I liked the hookup factor because it makes more of a community, if people want to make some cash, more power to them but just like any market, there will be folks hasseling them. If they put up with it and get what they want for their goods, cool for them.

My point was that he it trying to make money on maggots. I know people get all up in arms about trying to make money off a fellow maggot. Just pass on the deal if he wants to sell them.

between lineskier, recent talk about the kingswood sale, and this, it sounds like more people need to read the "BEFORE YOU SELL - READ THIS " thread and perhaps an update to it about reselling gear for a profit.

I got a pair off Gear Swap:
    -in near new condition
-back around Dec. in the height of reselling season (ie. not summer)
    -for $90 shipped.

Pent up angst-the snow melted and one can only masturbate so many times in a day.

So now it's either turn this into drama or up the substance abuse and that's being covered in another thread right now.

I realize that I got them on ebay for cheap. I also realize that I said I was FLEXIBLE on the price. I am not trying to rip people off. If someone offers me 120, ill take that, but if no one does, ill take 70. Is that really that wrong? These have to go soon, I will be taking the best offer I get in the next couple of days, whether its 120 or 70 or a trade.

No, I don't think that's wrong. See what I wrote earlier in the thread.

I don't think getting a little extra cash is bad but those bindings are fairly worked, it's summer, you only paid $70 on ebay in an auction that wasn't a buy it now so the open market determined the value, and there have been other bindings close to those brand new for about $160 shipped on this board so I think my offer is fair.

You picked up a binding that admittedly wasn't right for you and now you want to get rid of them which is understandable (I did the same thing this year with some 920s). I think anyone buying those is doing you a favor so you don't have something sitting around all summer. If you want more cash though, I would suggest shelving them and trying again in the fall when people are excited and ramping up for the season.

No worries if someone offers more, I'll find something else later in the year.
