Another shot gives you a sense of perspective for this line. Though now often skied, it remains a bold and committing adventure.

this may have been Don, the colorado guy we shared Teewinot with today. he said he got it a few days back with only 3 full 60m raps.

    nice line and pics, btw.

Nice work, and thanks for leaving the bread crumbs on all the lines in the park!
Bummer, TH. You guys holding off on further attempts this round? A few weeks can make a big diff...as long as we get some good overnight freezes.

Was planning to swing by the Park on Thurs when I am back to say hello, but it sounds like you guys may not be there....

I am in Phoenix now, reminding me that it could be worse in the Tetons. I miss 'em when i'm away.

    AWESOME write-up, APH!!!!!!!

    Sick stuff APH and NHT.

NHT - really sorry that I won't be able to make it out to Jackson at the end of the month. I'll try to drown my sorrows tomorrow during the Champions League Final with BigKuba.

Great write up. The image of the helmet rolling down past you guys was stuck in my head the whole time. It gave a gravitas to the whole experience.

we skied the sw col on south (oops, meant to say middle) teton today and watched 4 large wet slides come down on the way out. things are too soft on the E faces right now but maybe next wednesday looks like it should be cold enough.

we're headed home around noon tomorrow but derek might be back on the 25th.

pm one of us if you need some current beta, but keep in mind that the snow line is changing hourly. you'd probably be suprised at how much is gone since you left.

    Great stuff APH.
Having only been there in summer this whole area needs to get on my to-do list at winter sometime.

SW couloir was fun today. Looked down the east face, looks great too.

That will be done next week, if the snow holds on.

No need for beta (I'm on the DL)....but I'm not too surprised. (I'm the one who started the "Tetons...get after it ASAP / It's melting fast" thread with some reports of what I was seeing on E/SE faces of the Grand + Moran from my drives through the Park. Hey, it's all I can do as a gimp, other than my gym workouts )

I will keep my fingers crossed for some good freezes for you & others. We need 'em! I just arrived home and can't believe it was in the 80s (?!?!?!?!) today!

I'd be happy to support your goals in whatever way I can, though.

Thanks for the fuggin killer TR, I've hit the south teton twice and the middle is next on my list, Makes me want it that much more.

There really is a feeling of awe and humbleness in that canyon, your photos and descriptions captured that to a tee.

It will cool off and we will get a freeze/thaw cycle again.

    (I hope)

    Just Blogged this at
    www.myspace.com/pmgskis

It's the first article in the blog at the top. Right click and then "open in new window" to keep the tunes rollin...(although you'll probably want the tunes to stop...heh)

"One of the primary goals of this blog is to give some recognition to the many skiers who are owners of PMG Skis by highlighting some of their accomplishments. Everyday our customers and friends are out there getting after it and really doing some amazing things on our skis.....whether it's competing in the IFSA North American & World Freeskiing Tours (http://www.usfreeskiing.com), logging 100 day seasons, or racking up some fine ski mountaineering accomplishments, I want to use this blog to say a big ole "thank you!" to them for inspiring us to get out there in the mountains and continually push our personal limits."
