Hey,
I posted this in the slide zone, but I decided to post it here as well. You can't be too safe.
I heard a special bulleting from the Colorado Avalanche Info Center (CAIC) today that forecasts a significantly dangerous wet slide cycle to occur over the next few days. The radio announcement indicated much more dangerous conditions than those reported on today's unscheduled update of the Summit County Avy hotline at 970-668-0600.
This thread would have been dedicated to getting some Maggots to join me on Quandry Wednesday morning, but my group has decided to scrap this trip due to the warm temps that will keep the snowpack from freezing overnight.
Be careful out there...see some of you Maggots at the Basin this Saturday?
