As for the writing, indent the paragraphs and the start of the 3rd line in the 1st paragraph you say "my brother and me" I think its supposed to be my brother and I. Anywho, nice piece and good luck. sorry man. I'm sick of them too... but they're hardly taking over the forums. I bet that you could have somehow divined from the thread title that this was about 'college essays' and, given how sick you are of applications and such, not opened it?

heh well apps are due tomorrow (well today its past 12) and i needed to edit my supplemental essays ALOT, I was quite frusterated, and i was kidding bout the taking over thing

Oh believe me, I KNOW that apps are due tomorrow. I've been doing this shit forever too. Of course, being the moron I am, I filled out the UBC app (due 28 Feb) and the Western app (due 1 March) and then fucked around for a number of months until monday, when i looked at my deadline list and saw that UW, UC Boulder, and Whitman are all due today (it's past 12 here, too). I just finished the last of them. Now I'm starting my homework.

And guess what the best part is? I'm not going to college next year, so this was a big waste of time. None of the schools I am applying to and actually want to go to let you defer, and I'm taking a year off... so next year, i get to do it alllll over again.

So if you have decided you're not going to college next year why bother submitting the apps? It's pretty expensive isn't it?

I remember back in high school everyone was applying at several schools. I wondered if people were actually seriously considering going to all the schools they applied to, or if they just wanted to feed their egos by seeing how many would accept them. Not saying this is what you're up to, Sam, but just curious.

How much does it cost these days to apply to a college?
