    Google map distance finder

    This is pretty sweet. You can use it to plot your ride before you go- or check to see how far you rode.

    very cool, but the alberta rocky mountains sat pics don't have enough detail to plot mountain bike trails, and the map images dont show trails, oh well, still really cool

    True... for mtn biking I don't think its that great, as most of the trails will be covered. However, for road biking it seems pretty accurate, and its nice to know where I can go for my after-work 15-20 mile ride at night.

    urban or road biking it will be great for... maybe even some DH stuff?

    Also, you can store routes as bookmarks. All you save is the url; the route information is stored serverside. It also does an auto-complete of out-and-back routes, which is nice if you do that sort of thing.
