Hey Utards - What's Goin' On This Weekend?

I'll be in SLC to ski Sat, Sun, & Mon. Just extending a business trip 'cause I can.

    1. How chitty is it?

    2. Do any of the LCC or BCC resorts offer one-rides to access the BC?

    3. Any Pats fans watching the game anywhere?

    4. Who's riding where on Sat and Mon?

    N. Facing slopes are hangin' in there with soft snow. Resorts are hammered, BC is still good. 4"-6" of recycled pow on top of a great base.

Headed out Monday morning from The Canyons. Freshies and ski monkey may be along for the ride. Powderboy? Xover?

Brighton offers a one ride ticket. I bet the BC right out of the gates is hammered.

Looks like up to Alta to ski with my Dad Saturday/Sunday/Monday.

Huge Pats fan. If it's good on Sunday I'll watch the second half (1:30 pm or later) at Peruvian or Goldminer bar (does Peruvian even have a TV?)...

I plan on skiing Friday, just cause I can and to keep my ski legs. Will most likely be inbounds since I don't have anything mounted for touring right now. Then, depending, in when it snowed - mon or tues - most likely trade work day of mon for tues.

Alta has one ride tix for like 5 or 10 bucks as dose brighton for same.

Good weekend to watch football, take the kiddies skiing and drink it white again.

Went up yesterday and took a tele lesson. Snow isn't all that bad considering how long it's been. Plus, it 's almost like my brain can't comprehend that it's the same day and that by driving a few miles I get out of the freezing dreary smog into absolutely blue skies and brilliant warm sunshine.

Anyway, we might do some touring this weekend.

AG, can't believe you went outside the maggot collective for the lesson. Just kidding, I actually have no idea how to teach. It is pretty crazy though that a 15 minute drive turns the day from dreary to sunny. Only had about an hour and a half yesterday between errands and work, but it was worth it just to breathe some clean air and see the sun.

Please lemme know if Alta decided to sell one-rides again. I tried to buy one Christmas week and they told me they don't sell them anymore.

Hey, I'd be happy to take whatever advice you have to offer! Mostly I just wanted to make sure I wasn't developing any odd habits that will be harder to correct later, and Mr.AG's assessment of "You look fine" didn't help much.

Dik Sandwich! Anyone know of any stealth measures other than the "green pass" which because I'm flying, won't be with me!

Backcountry is hanging tough. Upper exposed elevations are a mix of conditions, from recrystalized pow (4-5 inches) to breakable crust. Some corn is forming on exposed slopes on all but northern facing aspects. There are a few areas where glide avies are a concern also wet releases in the afternoon. The avie danger is way low right now, with the exception ofwet release areas and the areas susceptible to glide releases. I highly recommend a trip out to Tuscararo (sp?), accessed from either Brighton or Alta (easier from Alta, use Supreme lift to Catherine Pass. It is the peak on your left as you stand at the pass looking towards Brighton). It has good eastern exposure and had some good corn forming.

I may be in the area Saturday, but unsure if I will be out or not.
