Is this: http://www.rei.com/online/store/Larg...jpg&view=large pack any good?
It's cheap....
I'm also considering a heli-pro. Just for lift-serviced BC. Opinions?

I have the heli-pro and have had no issues with it. Love the diagonal ski straps and it's durability. Use it mostly for short trips or resort skiing. However, there are better packs out there for the same price. Check out the new Life-Link packs or the BCAs.
iskibc,
is it possible to use the compression side straps to a-frame skis on the heli-pro??
That's a nice price for the Frontier pack. I'd say buy it. I also have a Helipro and it's very limited for space, but yes, good for resort BC. For touring I go with the Poacher (CI ?) and like it a lot.
Edit: I tried A-framing with the Helipro (after seeing some thread) and it was pretty sloppy just shaking it around the house due to only one strap on each side.

You could, but why? A-frame sucks compared to diagonal.Originally posted by seldon
