    Paging salomon binding experts

    Wanted to double check this:
Can I turn some unsused DIN-10 977s into DIN 12 or 14 977s by just dropping in a beefier spring from some trashed 957/977/997 bindings? The heelpiece springs are shorter than 997 springs, but the toe springs look the same. Is everything else the identical on the bindings?

Even compared to the 12 din? The housing of din 10 and 12 both look entirely plastic to me, I can only see a difference with the metal din 14s. Is there more plastic hidden inside the din 10 somewhere?
