Tell me more about this chafing.

    Got any pics?
So many manufacturers just cater to the masses. Pics might help to better determine what's really the right ski..........for you.

plus, don't forget that the fatter the ski, the less length you'll need, since it is so much wider

I hate to post all serious here but I dig the sickbird I have in a 185 length (I wish it was a bit longer though). It is essentially the same as the scratch bc. It doesnt really do any one thing spectactularly but it does many things very good. It is a very fun ski and very capable as an all around ski in my opinion.

BTW I am similar height to you just 30 or so pounds heavier.

seriously. buy my Pistols or B4.

B4 would be perfect. Do you REALLY need a full twin? keep the PE for park days.

EDIT: and marshal - you already know this...but you are a sick sick...sick man.

Nobody ever points out the obvious here: how the hell can you even be 6'1" and weigh 160 llbs, unless you're a Masai tribesmen or Joey Ramone? Shit, I was 160 pounds when I was 5'8", thoughnow that I am 6'2", I have only gained about 35 pounds. All of it muscle, and much of it in my immense manhood area, of course.

I heart this thread. But would I heart it even more if there was a single poster in this thread who wasn't proffering TGRish sarcasm? Yes, probably.

    heh, proffering. I hope it's a word. Or maybe I don't.

You lose. Nutcase broke with tradition and offered advice on sickbirds already. Beyond that fact, why should people rehash the same shit over and over when a search shows many very similiar threads. Perhaps even one called:

Dude, you must be a photoshope master because there's no way I will believe you acutally own a pair of the icelandics.

Check out the sweet interview with the icelandic people:

Super hush hush, but I heard they signed Shane to ride their sticks next year. Gonna shake up the industry, it is.

I was 6'1" and 125. That was 23 years ago, though -- no gain in height, but about 80 pounds later....

I'm surprised no one has suggested Baby Bros. There have been a couple of serious posts.

I think after my first two posts of trying, and hearing his stupid replies, I decided to join the sarcastic bunch. First we were nice enough to point out skis that would be PERFECT for what he wanted, but alas, it wasnt a twin tip.
Second, everyone has been too kind, but k2pow, if you're still here and reading this

C'mon, in all honesty has anyone EVER hit it switch on a non-twin tip AND actually made it all the way to the rode?

they are not his gf's, they are his (reading comprehension much?!?). oh, and don't be thrown off by the different boot soles. marshal really has fairy feet, but only recently bought properly fitting performance boots. he just hasn't remounted the other skis yet (although I doubt they'd get much use anyways)

marshal, you've yet to post a proper icelantic review. how's the edgehold on the groomers?

(and I'm pretty sure that his gf is rocking those ugly wooden home-made 290ish flex skis in a 195)
