Looking to upgrade the fork on my Ellsworth Isis ~4" rear travel XC trail bike.
Heres what Im thinking about listed in current favorite order, although the top they are nearly neck\neck for me right now.
Marzocchi All Mountain 1 ETA (110-130 travel)
Marzocchi MX Pro ETA (120mm travel)
no longer in the running
Manitou Minute 2 (100mm travel) (stupid post mounts)
Marzocchi Z1 FR ETA (130mm travel) (not available anymore)
nearly the same price for each one so thats not an issue (~250)
the 1lb difference between the top and bottom seems like a lot right now to me, although so do the added features on the AM1.
Im also open to other suggestions, however, FOX is not an option as I do not like their company, for reasons I wont go into here.
Thoughts, comments, suggestions, talk amongst yourselves etc.
edit: updated forks that I have available to choose from
I hear ya.
I know lots of people who dig their fox forks.
Even if I was considering one, theyre double the cost.
Basically without getting too much into it, Fox's "engineers" are complete twats and wouldnt know what a damper dynamometer is if I shoved it up their asses or what a force-velocity-displacement graph was if I force fed them that down their throat with my dick....and they were rude to me multiple times on the phone.
