What should I do with this?

I have a three year old Trek 8900SL hardtail. It has Hayes disc brakes and a nice set of wheels, XT components, titec stem and seatpost, blah blah blah

Should I try to sell it (and what should I ask for it) or convert it into a singlespeed?

Edit to add: if I were to keep it a single speed, I would need to replace the fork which is an older model SID race. How much front travel could I put on this bike without really screwing up the geometry. Does anyone have a dirt cheap fork with a 1 1/8 steerer tube they want to sell me? And what strategy should I use to convert it to a singlespeed? New rear hub with chain tensioner? The singlespeed thing really confuses me...

You should drown it in red bull and ebay it as a flying bike.

If you are trying to sell it to a female, that should do. No self respecting man would ever want to touch that crap (the sugar free redbull that is).
