    You know what's pretty sweet?

When you beat your time biking by almost 20 minutes.

I know it's not a techy trail or anything and I know this should go in a diary entry, but I took my bike out for the first time today and rode the Quarry trail and did it in 20 minutes less time than last year.

I guess all this going to the gym, spinning and eating well crap is doing me right.

Can't wait to ride again this week. I think I'm done skiing after today.

Yeah! Glad to hear everyone's out riding. Now I don't feel so bad for riding my bike and not skiing.

^ yay for being back in the saddle, so to speak.

Went for a 3hr death ride here in Bragg Creek with my dad, SUCH a good time as I hadn't ridden my mtb since October.

Good job on the being healthy(ier) and fit(ter) dealie!

Got a nice solid ride in up in PC today too, felt so good to be out on the bike. Yeah, the eating good and all that certainly helps.

That's a great feeling How long was the ride itself?

Sounds to me you were riding a well tuned machine.

Riding is good.....real good (took the DH bike to Bountiful today, felt REAL good). Once AG is ready to ride, you should do some rides with us.

The ride itself is really not that long, but when you aren't in shape it takes forever, at least in my case.

I'm not nearly as fast as powho and you other dudes, but I did it in 55 minutes, which is huge fore me. It's taken 3 months of solid spinning class 3-4 days a week, plus other cardio and skiing to get faster. And I just feel good.

I love it. And I'd love to ride with AG when she's up to par!

Edit: Oh and thanks to Mr. AG for the awesome tune, it really feels like a new bike. Oh and towards the top there is a nice stream running in the middle of the trail. I was so damn muddy.

Glenwild....was told it was dry & good to go, but it turned out a bit more wet on the back side than I'd usually ride, i.e. lots of walking to avoid rutting up spots. But really it's mostly dry, and in a few days it should be perfect.

Cool, good to hear. I'm curious about Round Valley and Lost Prospector. I bet those two will be good to go after a few days of sun later this week.

I'm looking forward to Prospector for sure, it's a 5 minute bike straight from our place, instead of a 15 minute drive like Glenwild. Not that I won't ride the far away trails, but for a quick ride it's nice to have a nearby trail available. Hoping it's dry by this weekend - I'll take the dog for a hike up there to check it out in the next few days. Will let you know.

I rode the whole Lost Prospector this evening, and save for a few small muddy spots that you can bunny-hop over, its in very good shape. Huzzah!

I'm so pissed! Mr. AG tuned my bike up all nice and after one ride I have a flat. I'm gonna have to get a new tire cause this keeps happening, even with a new tube

I still plan to ride Thursday and Friday, 5:30 Quarry.

And powho, I still consider myself slow compared to you...maybe wait for me at the pipe?

nah....AC has some kind of flat tire curse. i've ridden a lot with AC and i never got a flat, just her, all the time. she's cursed. beware!!!! and when people try to help her, she passes the curse to them, for reals, it happened to Boobookitty! I swear! She had like two flats in trying to help AC on the crest last year.

Prolly did this already, but have you checked the rim. Sometimes the tape iz messed up or there are burrs...

It seemed like it took me about 15 flats to figure out that one. Me slow.

Ok, just got a new tire and tube so this better work! They said i had a little something in my tire that kept flatting the tube...I should have taken care of this last year, but was too cheap to buy tires.

And I'm not a curse like Lynx says...she never got a flat while riding with me.
