Where did all the “Hardcore” people go?

"Hardcore" skiers/snowboarders have seasons passes. Resorts don't care about them until their seasons pass sales go down. Resorts care about hotel bookings and $80 day tickets bought from people that travel from Texas and New York.

Maybe it’s an east coast thing. I guess I always feel like the mountains will disappear, and I’ll end up skiing on ice and 500 vertical feet. I don’t think I will ever take skiing in the west for granted so I always ski whenever I can and as much as I can. I guess when I was a kid I thought of everyone from the west as hardcore skiers, skiing everyday all year.
