Yeah, I've had some fun too. I got to ski 30-40+ days a seasion, help found and operate PMGEAR, help Gordy with his SA biz, help ArcticIsle with their biz (any of you remember that little company? whatever happened to PO'B?), post on this board way too much. Shit, if I hadn't wasted all my time with that shit I could've gotten an M.D.

Encourage her to go for the Ph.D. Stopping with a M.S. will dramatically decrease her income potential.

She's definately not going to stop. She's just stressed. And she is the most stubborn person I know, which you said is what got you through it, so she'll be alright.

    helmet cam

4 beers before 11:00 am? If you haven't already left you need to find a way to attach a helmet cam under the brim of your square hat and post the vid. "Is this where you hood me sir?"
    oh yeah congrats.
Now watch me become what I can become.

Congrats! That's an awesome achievement. Hope you use it well, grin.

(And you damn well better post pictures of you, preferably drunkenly grinning, in your gay little robe...)
This touchy-feely Kumbaya shit has got to go.

From what I remember it's a neuro-muscular disorder that mainly effects legs, hands, feet. Can be extremely progressive. Hereditary if I'm not mistaken.
You mark that frame an 8, and you're entering a world of pain.

Sounds more Klan-like to me. Alternatively, you'll get some 'spec from da homies in da hood, bee-yatch.

Charcot Marie Tooth. That was one of the wierdest names I came across in pathology. No cure exists but it's not fatal.

Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) is one of the most common inherited neurological disorders, affecting approximately 1 in 2,500 people in the United States. CMT, also known as hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy (HMSN) or peroneal muscular atrophy, comprises a group of disorders caused by mutations in genes that affect the normal function of the peripheral nerves. The peripheral nerves lie outside the brain and spinal cord and supply the muscles and sensory organs in the limbs. A typical feature includes weakness of the foot and lower leg muscles, which may result in foot drop and a high-stepped gait with frequent tripping or falls. Foot deformities, such as high arches and hammertoes (a condition in which the middle joint of a toe bends upwards), are also characteristic due to weakness of the small muscles in the feet. In addition, the lower legs may take on an "inverted champagne bottle" appearance due to the loss of muscle bulk. Later in the disease, weakness and muscle atrophy may occur in the hands, resulting in difficulty with fine motor skills. Some patients experience pain, which can range from mild to severe.

Congrats. (You know you can skip the hooding bit, they'll still call you Docta.)

And get on with that clinical practice of teaching - sounds very promising. The educational status quo sucks, I can't find enough adequately educated sparring partners.
