    Indian Peaks beta

I am looking to do a b/c trip this weekend. Anyone know the snow conditions at the following places:

    1. Caribou
    2. Rollins Pass - how far can you drive in?
    3. 4th of July TH - can you drive to the campground?

    Thanks for any help.

Yeah I was just going to say Phish took a trip to South Arapahoe and got shut down due to weather earlier this week.

The road to Brainard is still a couple of weeks from opening.

Which side of Rollins are you thinking? East side approach has huge drifts within the first mile, and the west side you can get a little further, but not by much. Still looking at a good 10+ mile skin to the top of Corona.

4th of July has drifts starting about .5 mile past the fork.

I would head up to E. Portal and do something from the S. Boulder Creek trail. Or, head up to James Peak Wilderness and hit some lines off Bancroft, James, or something else. North facing chutes off the lower James saddle are holding some nice snow and lines right now.

Brainard still has a long ways to go. Lot's of bare road, but they never open that gate until at least memorial day weekend. Bikes could get you a little ways.

This is kind of what I was thinking due to the restrictions of some of the other areas. I have never been up to Roger's Pass. Is there good skiing up that way? Or maybe Haystack Mt.?

Yeah, there are some good lines up there. Looker's left just as you get above treeline holds some good lines.

Nothing too gnar, but fun nonetheless.
It's a bit longer of an approach since the S. Boulder Creek trail is flat and somewhat boring, but very easy. Have fun.

I skied Parry Peak a few weeks back and found great snow and pretty easy access.
