    Denver Minion a little help

Hello, I'm flying out to Denver this later morning for an Avs game and I need a bottle of Tequila! I know this sounds pathetic but living in Utah calls for extreme measures when you wanna enjoy the finer things in life like a fine bottle of tequila at a decent price.

For comparison a .750 bottle of med. grade tequila (Hornitos) costs about 35 dollars at the "Church (state) liquor" store when I know I can get a liter for about 22-23 dollars in other places not behind the Zion Curtain!

Where can I go to get a good selection for a real good almost wholesale price? Are there any large discount warehouse type of stores in the metro area or out I70 on the way to Evergreen? I know in CO only “liquor stores” can sell booze but I’ve noticed a separate sections at the stores where you can get booze and wine.

    I hope someone can help?
    · Can I get booze and a good deal at the Costco?
    · If not where else should I try?

    thanks

    Thumbs up

Costco is cheap, but I think they only sell handles of Cuervo. For a good selection, check either:

    Applejack Wine and Liquors
    3320 Youngfield Street
    303.233.3331
Near I-70 and 6th Ave, CASH ONLY

    Argonaut Liquors
    718 E. Colfax Ave
    303-831-7788
On the Hill a few blocks East of downtown.

Pinner, I'm giving you an F on that quiz. If your driving I-70, your only choice is Applejacks at the Youngsfield exit. Basically RB, when you get into the western suburbs, keep your eyes open for a Walmart on the left of the highway. When you see it, exit. Applejacks is right there. It's a huge liquor store but I can't comment on their too-kill-ya. I haven't messed with that stuff after I assulted a floor mate in the dorms with a recycling bin 'boat 15yrs ago.

    A. I'm a dik
    B. I didn't read the post

I used to live in Capital Hill and while it certainly has mucho flava, I don't know if I'd call it a "nice neighborhood". Check some articles in the Westword about the brisk crack trade at 13th and Pearl.

People who think Capitol Hill is rough must come from pretty white places.

BTW- If he's headed for an AVS game then he won't be particularily far from Argonaut either. Plus, Argo blows fokkin Applejack out of the water! AJ will likely be much more convinient.

Oh pinner...I'm pretty sure that Applejack takes drastic plastic too, not just cash (that's why I'm giving you a B- )

Cap Hill's got nothin on old town saudi aurora baby. Not a damn thing.

Too bad you ain't going to Boulder or we could point you to

LiquorLand in Wrongmont has smokin' deals and super low prices. I think Liquor Mart is the same as LiquorLand.

LB, Applejack's does not take the plastic, it is either cash or check. I still prefer Applejacks to Argonaut, but that is because it is closer to me. Also, MacDaddy, there is a costco on I70 and Wadsworth that sells booze, but the selection is limited and only sell handles.

Heh, perhaps all you punks should go visit the waffle house around federal and colfax for dinner some time. Whoot! The only reason my car never got broken into was because we were in the good graces of the gang/dealers that lived next door. As we got close to moving out, my car disappeared.

now that you've figured out WHERE to purchase your "fine bottle of tequila", allow me to recommend one for you TO purchase:

my personal favorite is Cazadores - an excellent reposado that features an elk on the label, and a built in shot glass (the plastic cap).
