    Susp. Question

I'm looking at upgrading the forks on my Trance and got what I thought was a strange recommendation at the shop yesterday.
On a bike w/ 4.5" of rear travel, why would you install a 7" travel fork? I was thinking something with ~5" would be perfect.

I didn't think I was that out of it, but the guy in the shop was so determined that I should go at least 7" I was starting to wonder. Made no sense at all to me.

Next time you go in there be sure to tell him that your internet friends say he is a clueless douche.

that's because he is a fucking JONG. your headtude angle would be so slack with a 7" fork... no bueno. plus the headtube welds on a trance are nowhere near strong enough to withstand the torque from a 7" fork. FIND A NEW BIKE SHOP!!

Maybe they guy that works there is related to RC from MBA... `Cause you know, every bike needs a 888 up front.
Since then it's been a book you read in reverse, so you understand less as the pages turn.

The things you find on the net.
