Let me guess, you get to wear a toque and plaid flannel shirt, watch hockey games, answer people with "Oh yeah?"and conclude every sentence with "eh?"

haha, not bad Viva. If those are the side effects of becoming a better skier than so be it, that way I can move to Nelson, or Golden or Rossland and fit right in, eh? Seriously though, are they any good?

Extremely Canadian clinics are really good. They only allow a certain level of skier and take you on terrain that will challenge you.I know guys that worked there and basically all they do is guide good skiers around and give pointers if you need them. They will take you to all the good inbounds terrain.
Raining now up to 1700 meters, basically the roundhouse on Whistler, Alpine is getting pounded, and forecast is looking like colder temps on the way, hopefully that freezing level drops.

I agree with cab9 on Extremely Canadian. I had never been to W/B a couple years ago. A friend of a friend of a friend deal fell through on a big (50cm) powder day. So about 8:00 am I talk to Ralph at EC and tell him I need a guide. He didn't have anyone, but said if I didn't like the top clinic group, I could bail.
Turns out, only one guy is in the top group, so we just ripped for three days. I skied with Joe Lammers, Chris Winter and Felix Tangay, all were very good skiers and good guys. It really helps to have the local knowledge there when its dumping because visability is 10-15 feet.

Whistler also has their own "Ski Esprit" program which is similar. Groups are formed based on ability and you hang out with the same group for three or four days. The instructor gives you some tips, but the focus is really on exploring the mountain. If you have a good group and instructor it's a lot of fun.

I haven't done Extremely Canadian, so can't comment.

    Thumbs up

on extremely canadian. If you're gonna do it, sign up early in your trip, they'll show you some cool lines, and then you'll know where to go. Keep in mind this isn't a typical lesson, they don't baby you.

Yes, I need a good excuse to ditch my gaper friends. Great people, but skiing flat groomers all day isn't exactly my idea of fun. You can only scare so many gapers while playing pinball before it loses its magic.

Looks like I might miss most of you. I'll be out there from Feb 26th to Mar 3rd. If any of you are still around or close by. I'll be looking to change some nickles.

I think this is worth quoting.
